Understanding Files and Folders Management
ICDL- Module 2 : Using the Computer and Managing Files University of Human Development
A computer program consists of a collection of files which can
be divided into two types:
1) Program files or instruction files: these files are written by the
programmers or the developer of the software. Computer users are
not interested in these files.
2) Data Files or Users Files: these files are written or constructed by
the user such as letter, graphs …etc.
Program files will be arranged automatically when the
software is first installed on the computer.
Data files or user files must be organized by the user to
make sure that he can access the files efficiently when
needed.
