Milkiwean
YoghurtFrom day 1
For higher growth rates from day 1 to slaughter Keeps all piglets with the sow High dry matter intake (200 – 300 gram extra) to weany Smooth transition from liquid to solid feed Higher weaning weight More weaned piglets per litter (0.5 – 1 piglet more) More uniform litters Less fattening days (up to 4 days) Milkiwean Yoghurt is part of the optimal Milkiwean feeding program
Higher performance, higher profitability
Feeding Milkiwean Yoghurt in the first days of a piglet’s life results in:
Higher weaning weight Higher nursery weight Less fattening days

What is Milkiwean Yoghurt? A supplementary liquid diet for young piglets. Developed to be complementary to sow milk, it is not a
replacement for colostrum Contains three times as much dry matter as regular
milk substitutes Has a high viscosity to avoid overeating and digestive disorders Very palatable and highly digestible Doesn’t contain plasma
Milkiwean Yoghurt in combination with Milkiwean Precoce (21 days weaning) and with Milkiwean Granito (28 days weaning) is the optimal Milkiwean feeding program for the best performance.

Attention: This feeding schedule is a guideline. Lower the volume when piglets do not take in full dosage; raise the volume when intake is good. The daily ration is depending on several management factors, like the sow’s milk production, the climate and litter size.
Application Piglets need to take in suffi cient colostrum. Start feeding Milkiwean Yoghurt in small portions
12 hours after birth. Start feeding small amounts with a measuring jug. Feed after that with a bucket or watering can. Feed Milkiwean Yoghurt in a bowl twice daily. Adjust the amount to make sure the piglets empty
the bowl.
The piglets need to empty this every 24 hours. Feed intake can vary between litters and
weak groups. From day 14, gradually change over to
pre-weaning feed.
Tip: Giving the fi rst feeding diluted (1 kg to 4 liters of luke warm water) can have a benefi cial effect on the feed intake.
