Dear Parents/Carers,
As I write this newsletter today I am amazed at how quickly the term has gone. Our students
continue to be involved in all aspects of school and are making terrific progress. Last week our
Opportunity Class were invited to participate in the Science and Engineering challenge. The class
had a very successful and enjoyable day. Thank you to parents who allowed their children to
participate on such short notice. Photos and a student report are included.
On Monday, Mrs Hall held her now famous cake stall at infants to raise money towards Infant’s
Excursions. The event was very well supported and by the look of the chocolate faces that I saw,
very enjoyable too. Thank you to all of those people who supported this event.
Our school will be particularly busy next week as Infant’s prepare for their annual Easter Hat
parade. Parents are invited to assist their child in this artistic endeavour and as always, we would
love you to come along to the parade to support your child. A reminder too, that both Primary and
Infants are holding an Easter raffle. Donations of Easter products (Eggs, bunnies, bilbies etc) are
being gratefully received at both offices.
Our featured staff member for this newsletter is Ms Emma Starr. Ms Starr joined us earlier in the
term and is currently teaching 1 Topaz. Next fortnight we will hear all about our new Office Lady,
Mrs Vennetia Wise.
Enjoy your week and remember, ‘The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you
cannot do.’
Regards
Mrs Eileen Day
Principal
Important Notice
A student attending our school has been identified as having an allergy to
peanuts.
As this can be a life threatening condition, we are asking parents and
caregivers to help us keep this student safe by not sending their own child to
school with food containing peanuts. This includes peanut butter, Nutella and
other similar sandwich spreads.
We thank you for your ongoing support in the education and wellbeing of our
students.
