Registration & robing You will be given a name card during registration. Please
keep it safe as this will be your seating number.
Abide by the instructions by the respective Faculty/ Course Administrator.
Make toilet visit before entering the ceremonial hall.

Invitation Card Please remind your guests to bring
along their invitation cards to the Convocation as entry into the hall will be by presentation of invitation cards. Guests without an invitation card will be denied admission into ceremonial hall.
As the proceedings are formal in nature, children under the age of twelve (12) are regrettably not permitted to enter the ceremonial hall.
Arriving at UCSI Parking
Due to limited parking lots at the UCSI South Wing campus, graduands and guests are strongly encouraged to park at the following places: Public parking at commercial business shop lots in the vicinity of UCSI University (South
Wing) UCSI University – North Wing (shuttle bus service will be provided) Parking at Giant Hypermarket (shuttle bus service will be provided)
Between the morning & afternoon sessions, traffic congestion is highly expected and unavoidable.
Therefore, graduands and guests attending the morning ceremony are strongly advised to park at UCSI University (North Wing) and take the shuttle bus to South Wing for the ceremony. If you are parking in South Wing, you are requested to leave the University compound by 1:00pm to enable smooth traffic flow after the ceremony.

Marching to DeTSAR You will be stationed at the stairs exit after the
photography session.
Wait at the stairs exit until indicated to walk in.
While waiting, be quiet and still.
While walking: Keep calm and walk step-by-step Regimented steps (not fast, not slow) Do not chit-chat & leave gaps Maintain dignity don’t trip, fall etc Remain solemn and somber but joyful atmosphere
There will be 2 rows marching in concurrently: One row will turn to seats labeled A – G One row will turn to seats labeled H – N

Do not twist & turn to look for family
members, friends etc

Academic Procession
Arise when announcement is made to
signify the entry of academic staff,
University Senate members, University
Council members and UCSI University
Chancellor.
After the 4 groups have marched in,
remain standing for the national anthem
to be played.
During the ceremony
Be still and remain seated throughout
the speeches
When awards conferment begins:
You will be guided to line up by
convocation staff located near you.
Conferment of Awards Instructions to students and guests:
No “kidnapping / hijacking” by parents. No applause, shouting. No photograph taking.
Pass your name card to the designated staff at the head of the line.
Walk briskly onto the stage (on the left).
Official photographers will be stationed near the stage.
Receive the scroll from Chancellor (at the centre of the stage) and shake hands.
Walk down from the stage (on the right) to collect your certificate.
Silently walk back to your seat. DO NOT stop to look at your certificate.
