Download - Inspiration For The Week
Inspiration For The Week It’s the positions of power and great authority that people often admire. We equate success with six figure incomes, high positions, management, and influence. We even go above and beyond to find favor with our bosses so that we can get a little extra recognition and maybe the next promotion when it comes up. This is the way of the world. Those who have their values set on earthly things are going to work by earthly rules. We forget that it doesn’t work that way in the Kingdom of God. Success is measured not from the place of status, influence, or prestige but from the place of humility, service, and sacrifice. The authority that comes from wisdom and developing one’s relationship with God. Jesus flips the tables on our priorities. Even the first disciples had a tough time understanding this. They really thought that they would somehow receive a privilege or bonus from being faithful. We often operate under that same illusion.

The well providing water for our Church and school needs major repair! The work has already been scheduled, but unfortunately, workers aren’t able to begin for a few more
weeks yet. The well needed to be shut down and bathrooms are temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, it’s not all bad news! Should you have an emergency, the woods behind the parking lot still have enough colorful foliage to provide privacy.
Attention All Philatelists!
If you are a philatelist, you’re not alone! Fr. Tom Moran is one, too! In fact, he has been a stamp collector for many years but because of his extended hospital stays, he has fallen behind in cataloguing his collectibles and would appreciate some help. If you’ve been interested in stamp collecting, here’s your chance to learn from a fantastic priest and a Master Philatelist!
Ask Fr. Joe for more details.

This past Wednesday, October 13th,
commemorated the day of the Miracle of the Sun that occurred in a little community known as Fatima Portugal. In a world torn apart by persecution, war, and oppression, three children in Fatima, Portugal were chosen by God to offer an urgent message of hope to the world. Based on the memoirs of the oldest seer, Lucia Santos, and many thousands of independent eye-witness accounts, The 13th Day dramatizes the true story of three young shepherds who experienced six apparitions of Our Lady between May and October 1917, which culminated in the final prophesied Miracle of the Sun on October 13. Thrown into prison, and interrogated under the threat of death in the government's attempt to silence them, the children remained true to their story about the crucial messages from Mary of prayer, repentance, and conversion for the world.

30th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Extraordinary Ministers for the Homebound
29th Sunday in Ordinary Time
A man walks into a bar one day and asks, “Does anyone here own that rottweiler outside?” A biker stands up and says, “Yeah, I do!! What about it?” “Well, I think my Chihuahua just killed him.” The biker said disbelievingly, “What are you talkin’ about? How could your little runt kill my rottweiler?” “Well, it seems he got stuck in your dog’s throat!”
The “snow birds” are beginning to pack their bags and heading South
for the winter months and St. Peter’s Parish is going to be in need of
Eucharistic Ministers to help serve our Homebound Parishioners.
Will you give up just 2 hours of your time, once a month after the 9:00 am Sunday Mass?
To bring Jesus’ Body, Soul and Divinity to those who are unable to attend Mass!
The list of homebound continues to grow as our faithful parishioners age and we need your help
to keep serving them!
All instruction and training is provided! Please contact the Parish Office this week
