CLAUDIA JENKINSBachelor of Management / Bachelor of Science in Psychology
I chose UC because it’s essentially a bigger version of my home town, Wagga Wagga. As the first in my family to attend university, I found that the double degree in bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Science in Psychology was the prefect fit for me. I had previously attended the Open Days and Widening Participation’s UC 4 Yourself Day, so I was convinced early about where I would be completing my studies.
My journey so far has been nothing short of fun, inspiring and challenging, and I have enjoyed the way that living on campus has allowed me to be involved with more activities and groups than I could have imagined.
WIDENING PARTICIPATION02 6206 3972 canberra.edu.au/widening-participation [email protected]

• a rural and/or regional background
• an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
• a history of financial disadvantage, and/or
• little or no family experience of higher education.

CAMPUS DEVELOPMENTUC’s Bruce campus is an extraordinary place, and by 2030 it will be even better. People from around the world will visit and experience a new model community in action, where people, young and old, live an educated life.
The planning for this transformation is driven by a vision of how universities will operate in the future. Abolishing the boundaries between the academic, industry and community, UC will be established as a showcase of the confluence of living, learning, innovation and entrepreneurship. At the heart of this development will be the principles of co-creation and collaboration, offering fresh opportunities for national and international partnerships, transformational research, enriched learning experiences and vibrant commercial and networking activities.
This campus development vision aligns with our specific goals of:
• Creating opportunities for our students to be engaged across all areas of the campus development and operations as part of experiential learning programs
• Opening up and integrating the UC campus with the surrounding district of Belconnen and strengthening partnerships with local educational and professional institutions
• Enhancing Canberra’s reputation as a knowledge city and educational capital and growing the knowledge economy by developing an entrepreneurial hub where industry, research and community come together in the exploration of ideas and pursuit of solutions
• Standing out as a showcase of innovative urban design in a characteristically Australia landscape, and promote healthy and active lifestyles for people of all ages and abilities, and ensuring that, by developing the UC campus as a smart city within the city, we deliver cutting edge communication technologies and connectivity to the community.

STUDY ABROAD02 6201 5385 canberra.edu.au/study-abroad [email protected]
At UC, we set students up for a global career by integrating international study opportunities into nearly all our degrees.
When students study overseas, they strap in for an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Study Abroad enables students to gain course credit towards their degree, whilst gaining an international perspective, making lifelong friends, achieving an internationally recognised degree, and gaining an opportunity to network and find future employment.
We make studying overseas easy by helping students tap into our network of exchange partners across the world and take advantage of funding opportunities that will help finance their international adventure.
INTERNATIONAL STUDY OPTIONS
Exchange ProgramsStudents can study at one of our amazing exchange partner universities in Europe, Asia and the Americas. Students remain enrolled as a full-time student and pay tuition fees at UC while overseas.
Faculty-Led ProgramsDesigned and led by UC faculty members specifically for UC degrees, these short-term programs stretch over two to five weeks. Run like international field trips, these adventures form part of a unit, meaning students can travel and kick study goals at the same time.
Short independent ProgramsIf course requirements, work obligations or family commitments hold students back from experiencing a semester abroad, they can consider a short-term program. Available during the summer and winter breaks, they provide students with an opportunity to study and travel overseas without disrupting normal study periods. A popular choice is the Oxford International Human Rights Summer School.
International InternshipsStudents can amp up their practical experience while discovering what it’s like to live and work overseas with an international internship. Internships can be organized through the university as part of our faculty led programs, or independently through external providers.
