About - GRF Implants
GRF-Dental’s Lifetime Warranty on Implants and Prosthetics: All GRF-Dental’s implants and prosthetic components include a Lifetime Warranty. GRF-Dental’s implant or prosthetic components will be replaced if removal of that product is due to failure(excluding normal wear to over denture attachments).
Conventional dental products such as crowns, bridges and dentures address the short-term cosmetic problem of missing teeth, but do nothing to stop bone loss. Crown & bridge dental products require grinding down healthy teeth to serve as anchors leaving them at a much greater risk for cavities and endodontic failure. Bridges do not stop bone loss. Dentures become uncomfortable and unstable over time as the jawbone shrinks resulting in eating and speech problems.Dental implants transmit chewing forces to the jaw similar to natural teeth, stimulating the jawbone and stopping bone loss. By using dental implants for dental reconstruction, healthy teeth are not compromised. Many leading dental organizations recognize dental Implantology as the standard of care for tooth replacement.
To provide efficient information transfer to customers and distribution partners, GRF-Dental’s provides this "Regulatory & Quality" page for interested parties to access frequently-requested documents that confirm GRF-Dental’s certifications, registrations and licenses. Dental surgery is any of a number of medical procedures that involve artificially modifying dentition, in other words surgery of the teeth and jaw bones.
The traditional implant procedure performed routinely in dental clinics around theworld takes place in phases.
The process begins with an assessment of your mouth and teeth to build a treatment plan. You may be required to have a dental CT or panoramic X-ray. Depending upon the condition of your gum or bone, you may need a bone graft, which is done prior to the implantation.
The implant is positioned in the bone. This process is relatively quick and performed in the office under local anesthestic. Your gums and mouth are given time to heal, and for the implant to integrate with the bone— between three to six months —before the next phase
Site Lance Drill – With proper irrigation, perforate the alveolar crest using a surgical stent, if necessary, as a reference for proper positioning.
Pilot Drill – Select the 1.50 mm Pilot Drill. If any change is needed in trajectory, it may be corrected at this time. With proper irrigation, drill a pilot hole to the appropriate depth marking on the drill.
Check the orientation of the initial osteotomy using a Parallel Pin. If placing more than one implant and parallelism is desired, begin drilling the next site and align as the trajectory of the bone permits
Surgical Drills – Depending on implant diameter and the density of bone at the osteotomy site, it may be necessary to utilize one or more of the Surgical Drills to widen the osteotomy. To avoid over-preparation, widening drill diameters should be used only as necessary, and in proper succession. Select the desired Surgical Drill, accounting for the density of bone at the osteotomy site and the diameter of the implant to be placed. With proper irrigation, drill to the appropriate depth marking on the drill. The final drill for each implant diameter should be based on bone density (soft or hard), as charted below. The goal is to achieve high primary stability upon implant placement.
(Optional) Dense Bone Tap – If indicated by the presence of dense bone, select the Screw Tap with a diameter matching that of the implant. The tap may be used as an alternative to the dense bone drill. Place the tap into the prepared implant site. Apply firm pressure and begin slowly rotating the tap (25 RPM maximum). When the threads begin engaging the bone, allow the tap to feed into the site without applying additional pressure. The osteotomy should be tapped through the cortical bone. Reverse the tap out of the

They are four types of bone in the human face and the length of treatment for placing and restoring implants with a tooth and crown depends on witch ty pes of bone the implant is placed in. Implants have to integrate with the surrounding bone before a tooth and crown is placed on it.
Type I:Bone is comparable to oak wood, which is very hard and dense. This type of bone has less blood supply than all on the rest of the types of bone. The blood supply is required for the bone to harden or calcify the bone next to the implant. Therefore, it takes approximately 4 mounts for this type to integrate with an implant as opposed to 4 mounts for type II bone;
Type II:bone is comparable to pine wood, which isn't as hard as type I. This type of bone usually takes 4 mounts to integrate with an implant;
Type III:bone is like balsa wood, which isn't as dense as type II. Since the density isn't as great as type II, it takes more time to "fill in" and integrate with an implant. 6 months’ time is suggested before loading an implant placed in this type of bone. Extended gradual loading of the implant can, however, improve the bone density.
Type IV:bone is comparable to styrofoam, which is the least dense of all of the bone types. This type takes the longest length of the time to integrate with the implant after placement, which is usually 8 months. Additional implants should be placed to improve implant / bone loading distribution. Incremental loading of the implants over time will improve bone density. Bone grafting or augmentation of bone are often required. Bone expansion and or bone manipulation can improve initial implant fixation.

A special implant designed for safe use in depths of small bones. The round shape of the vertex protects the sensitive anatomical area (sinus and nerves) and its deeper turns increase the integration with the bone.
Although it's a short implant, it has many spirals - 7mm Stopper's spirals are equal to the length of a different Implant's spirals of 11.5mm The spirals are very deep and the ostear integration is equal to an 11.5mm Implant.
The Stopper Implant has a table stopper at it’s end (and therefore its name) which prevents it from sinking on one hand, and on the other, it stabilizes the implant in the patient's mouth due to to its wide & short size.
This patent has been successfully used by many doctors around the world, mainly in Europe and USA.

Healing capsThe healing cap prepares the site for the superstructure insertion and “shapes” the soft tissue surrounding the implant. Selecting the correct healing cap depends on the thickness of the mucosa. Wide healing caps are used for soft-tissue contouring of molars and premo-lars. Recommendation: Hand-tighten using a 1.25 mm hex driver or a motor mount with a torque of 15 Ncm
There is an internal relief ring on the inner side of the surface which is lockedon the tightening ring of the abutment.This aids precision and maximizes retention over the external surface.The cap is formed without an internal ring and has a smooth external surface.

Open & Close Tray TransfersTransfers are designed for impressions using the open-tray technique when the retentions are sharp, and for the closed-tray technique when the retentions are round. The body of the Transfer is made of stainless steel; the screws are made of titanium alloy.
Snap TransferThe Ball Transfer is made of titanium alloy TI-6AL-4V and designed for impressions using the closed-tray technique, in conjunction with the plastic caps (Ø 4.80 mm and Height 11.00 mm). The cap remains in the impression tray after it is removed from the mouth, for precise positioning of the Snap Transfer. It is also possible to use this type of Transfer as aesthetic abutments.
Clip-On TransferA Clip-On Transfer for impressions without a screw has a hexagonal lock to ensure a tight fit. It is especially effective with molars and premolars, where there is lack of space, and where working with a driver is difficult. It is sufficient to use this Transfer for all types of impressions as the lack of screws saves a significant amount of time.
Dental Implant AnalogThe Analog is made of stainless steel and is used for a laboratory fabricated implant level cast models. Compatible to all implant level components with a 3.75 platform.

Straight titanium abutmentsA wide variety of titanium straight abutments are available for use in different situations. These abutments remain stable, even when their wall thickness is reduced to 0.1 mm. They are used in the fabrication of cement-retained restorations, single crowns or bridges. Recommendation: Tighten the screw at a torque between 25 to 30 Ncm.
They can be used with two platforms; normal and narrow.The bevel area and the counter slot design prevent superstructure rotation and ensure tight contact and swift healing of the abutment.Peripheral tightening, along with the ring section of the abutment, enables simple and precise insertion and mounting. Clinicians can attach a coping or temporary reconstruction to the abutment.The internal hexagon leads to the implant installation area and uses a driver that fastens to the implant after the abutment's removal. This is undertaken using either a manual driver or a driver that is connected to hand unit.Internal tapping configuration prevents the fastening screw's disengagement from the implant.The abutment serves as a channel that prevents contact and friction between inserted pieces and the internal hexagonal of the implant.

Angular Abutments titaniumAngular abutments are used for constructing cement-retained single crowns or bridges or when changing the axis of the implant are required. The abutments are available at angles of 15° and 25°. Recommendation: Tighten the screw at a torque between 25 to 30 Ncm.
There are several different kinds of materials that can make up a dental abutment. For example, ceramic, gold, titanium, or a high noble metal is all good materials for the abutment. A frank discussion between the patient and the dentist or dental surgeon will usually be the deciding factor in the type of abutment; however, there are advantages and disadvantages for each material. Titanium abutments respond well to the gum tissue when it comes to implant attachment, but gold is best for porcelain crowns because it lends to a more natural tooth coloring. Ceramic abutments are popular because they resist fracturing, look good, and allow light to flow through the crown, giving it the most natural coloring

Castable abutmentsTemporization using PEEK Temporary Abutments is simple, cost-effective, and results in high patient satisfaction. There are two options when utilizing these abutments, cement-retained and screw-retained. They can be used for both single and multi-unit cases.
PEEK (polyetheretherketone) is a high-grade thermoplastic polymer for use in medicine generally, and dentistry specifically. PEEK is characterized by a superior combination of strength, elasticity and resilience. It is one of the most chemically resistant materials. Biocompatible and aesthetic, with a low electrical conductivity, PEEK polymer is well suited for use in the oral cavity.

Implant drillsThe dental drill is a tool used by dentists to bore through tooth enamel as well as to clean and remove plaque from the tooth’s surface. It is composed primarily of a headpiece, an air turbine, and a tungsten carbide drill bit. Since its development began in the mid-1700s, the dental drill has revolutionized the field of dentistry. The modern dental drill has enabled dentists to work more quickly and accurately than ever before, with less pain for the patient.

Bone graft materialBon-Graft is a synthetic bone based on two polymersPolylactic Acid(PLA)- The PLA is biogradable biocompatible non toxic polymerused in medical implants, tissue enginering, orthopedic use etc...Polyglicolic Acid (PGA) used in resorbable sutures, in nerve reconstruction, in dermal and fracture repair. The Graft exist in three formsGel in Syringe-can fill difficult acess defects- Use in sinus elevationpowder form-stick more than oters to the bone and more soft then B-TCP Sponge form-can fill great destroyed areas like plaster without membrane help The polymers are not Radio-opaqueYou can control bone construction with x-ray periodic radiologyOsteoblast will replace the fillings construction with human bone till full resorbtion
In a study of Piatellioral implantology 2003;4; 77-80it is shown that in comparison with all other bone replacementsthe best resorbtion is in bone-graft. All the other show higher residual material
