Why a variable speed drive?
Without a variable speed drive, a motor is running at maximum speed and the required flow is regulated by for example a butterfly valve. This means for your customers: high energy costs.
In standard applications, pumps or fans are running in part-load operation (most of the time between 40 to 80%). Due to the physical dependency between flow rate and power needed, significant energy savings are possible.
