Tom Czerepinski is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America
A well rounded culinary career in the Metro NY market including
chef positions in fast food, hotels, college and university, business
and industry, high end restaurants, country clubs and catering.
Graduated to the broker world 15 years ago and loves to be able to
use his diverse background to relate better to a wide range of
customers. He joined the Core Group when they expanded to the
northeast market.
Roz and Jed Buck worked side by side from 2004-2016 as the
Owners/Directors of Meadowbrook Country Day Camp, a large
private day camp in northwest NJ serving approximately 1,000
campers and 400 staff each summer. After retiring from full-time
camp ownership, Roz and Jed launched Roz and Jed Training &
Consulting to help both summer recreation programs and other
companies and organizations make a difference. They have pre-
sented at numerous conferences and worked with a wide variety of
clients including various youth programs, not for profit organiza-
tions, and small businesses in the areas of Leadership, Customer
Service, Culture, Employee Engagement, Marketing, and Corporate
Values. They are both mentors for Touro University and active
volunteers with many organizations. In 2016 they were honored as
joint recipients of the prestigious American Camp Association
Thelma Hurwitz Leadership Award. In addition to her over 30
years of Day Camp experience, Roz has been a member of the
teaching staff of the West Orange Jewish Community Center in
their Early Childhood Department and is a published author on a
variety of parenting topics. Prior to owning Meadowbrook, Jed had
a successful 20-year career in business including Brand Manage-
ment at Procter & Gamble, Sales & Marketing positions at the ABC
Radio Networks, and various positions during 11 years with NY
City based MediaAmerica, a Network Radio and Internet pioneer
where he rose to President.
David Justus : In December 2011, David Justus was declared
“Officially Amazing” by Guinness World Records. On June 11 that
year, he organized and led a community effort to raise awareness for
children with cancer by setting a Guinness World Record for the
world’s longest lemonade stand – a lengthy 2,614’ 2”. Thus, his af-
fectionate nickname ,“Lemonade Dave.” High energy, Lemonade
Dave’s presentation has been called, “a breath of fresh air” because it
is informative, interactive and fun. More importantly, the message
will inspire you to become everything you are capable of becoming!
As a two-time cancer survivor, Lemonade Dave attributes his opti-
mistic outlook to being given a second chance on life. He is the au-
thor of five books and a graduate of Brigham Young University. He
has been a social worker, a Program Services Director for Make-A-
Wish, and served in the U.S. Navy.
Featured Speakers
Eric Hanan -Prior to becoming an apiarist, Eric Hanan spent 20 years
as an investigative and feature news producer for network television
programs including Dateline NBC and ABC's Primetime Live, What
Would You Do? and 20/20. Hanan became intrigued with honeybees
in 2006 as a backyard hobbyist and in 2012 turned his passion into a
career. He currently operates Bee Haven, a full time honeybee ser-
vice for clients in NYC and NJ including Hackensack UMC, Valley
Hospital, Jan Hus Presbyterian Church, Van Vleck Gardens, and the
Broadway Marriott.
Paul Deckendbach -Executive Chef - Paul is a graduate of The Acade-
my of Culinary Arts in Mays Landing, New Jersey. Prior to his culi-
nary education he worked as a dishwasher, prep cook and line cook
beginning while he was still in high school. Since graduation he has
worked as an Executive Chef in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining,
conference centers and private country clubs before coming to Sysco
Metro NY as an Executive Chef. He resides in Northwest NJ with his
wife and dog.
Mary Locke- CEC, CCA, Minor’s Corporate Chef
Mary has worked for Nestle Professional for the last three years and
has a background in contract management with Aramark and many
private restaurants. She is passionate about local and regional cuisines
as well as working with operators on their menus and flavor profiles.
She lives with her spouse and 2 big labs in the Finger Lakes.
Marsha Diamond is the President of M.Diamond,LLC. She is a
foodservice business consultant, digital and social media marketer,
public speaker, writer, sales connector and opportunity identifi-
er. She strengthens foodservice businesses to succeed and add value
to their customers. Marsha has a background in culinary nutrition
and was inducted into the culinary organization, Chaine des Rotis-
seurs. She has a MA in Foodservice Business Administration from
New York University, a BA in Food and Nutritional Science from
Queens College, and is a Registered Dietitian. Her passions are
food, travel, theatre, reading and culinary tasting tours.
Becky Schilling is the editor-in-chief for Food Management and Su-
permarket News magazines. Becky holds a bachelor's degree in jour-
nalism from Texas A&M University and a master's degree from the
Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Before join-
ing FM in 2014, Becky was with FoodService Director magazine for
seven years, the last two as editor-in-chief. Becky is a history nerd
and a sports fanatic, especially college football—Gig'em Ags—and
tennis. A born and raised Texan, Becky currently resides in New York
City.
