INTRODUCTION Solar PV panels mounted on the roof of a trailer
were used to power a refrigeration system. This application was for the delivery of
refrigerated food products by a supermarket chain. These solar refrigerated trailers are designed to
maintain refrigerated conditions for a period of roughly six hours a day only, and do not haul frozen product.
