Events
There are two main ways that we partner with our clients, the embedded approach and the project approach.
Embedded
We work closely with your business to help drive strategy and implementation, attend meetings with your channel partners and, to all intent and purposes, become one of the team. Our embedded clients really love this approach as it adds tremendous value to their business without increasing headcount.
Projects
Whilst we enjoy being embedded we are just as happy to work on single or multiple projects; so if you have a website to build, a product to launch or want to run an integrated campaign our team is here to help. Whatever your project we will sit down with you to go over the objectives, target audience, timelines and budget to ensure that we deliver a campaign that meets or exceeds your goals.

Avnet / Motorola SCANNERMAN & Is It Rugged?
Objective:
We were approached by Avnet to increase awareness and demand for Motorola rugged mobile computers and barcode scanners. Each device offered specific capabilities and core competences.
Campaign:
We created Bjorn, a zany character with a real passion for extreme device testing. Through a series of humorous videos, Bjorn did everything from freezing a scanner in a block of ice to shooting a mobile computer with a shotgun. The campaign was supported by a microsite and integrated social media campaign. The videos received a massive number of views and Avnet & Motorola became the buzz of their industry.
Bjorn received coverage in key vertical publications online, raising his profile across the web.

Avnet / Motorola – Marketplace
Objective:
European research into IT resellers showed the single largest
support requirement from resellers was for business development &
sales support. This identified a key opportunity for Avnet to help its
resellers to drive new business.
Campaign:
Marketplace provides a branded platform for end users to search
and find ‘Avnet Approved Resellers’ and provides resellers with a
customisable profile page to which they can upload materials such
as case studies, white papers and brochures. Interlinked native
language sites were created for the UK, France, Germany, Italy
and the Benelux.
The site launch is being supported by a high profile PR and online
advertising campaign.

Avnet UK – Bell website integration
Objective:
Avnet’s acquisition of Bell Microproducts required a widespread
migration of vendors and content from Bell’s websites into the
existing Avnet web platform. This all had to be completed in a very
short space of time to tie in with the global rebrand of Bell to Avnet.
Campaign:
Essential project managed the integration working closely with over
20 marketing and business contacts across Avnet and a variety of
external agencies.
The project involved the creation of over 1,000 new pages of
content, creation of microsites within the main site and design of web
banners. Despite a number of challenges the project was delivered
on time and to budget.

Blackroc – Psion Workabout Pro animation
Objective:
Blackroc were looking to build awareness within the channel around
Psion’s Workabout Pro and its applications and benefits for the
supply chain. All aspects of the supply chain needed covering, from
picking & packing, to proof of delivery and damage reporting. This
message had to be conveyed in an entertaining and memorable
way, ensuring the audience was engaged.
Campaign:
Essential created an entertaining animation that took the viewer
through the supply chain journey. This was hosted on a dedicated
microsite where resellers were invited to watch the animation and
subsequently answer questions about the animation for their chance
to win the newly launched Nintendo Wii. The animation was
promoted via Blackroc’s reseller enewsletters and through PR with
online publications.
