• Make sure your topic is relevant to the audience
• Be sure you are well informed on your topic
• Find a topic that provides new and interesting information

PRESENTATION DESIGN• Pick a design that is interesting but not distracting
• Use fonts that are easy to read (large and bold)
• Incorporate graphics to emphasize your points
• Use pleasing colors
• Use transitions to add pizzaz

EFFECTIVE INFORMATION• Make sure bullet points support your topic
• Keep bullets short and to the point
• Keep bullets to one line (strive for five to seven words)
• Use sub bullets if additional information is required
• Use no more than five bullets per slide
