Two-thirds of toddlers and young kids watch at least two hours of TV a day. The first 2 years of life are considered a
critical time for brain development. TV is thought
to get in the way of kids learning but in the 21st
century the cartoons that are on TV teach kids different life
lessons and teach them about the world.

animated children's television series starring a 7-year-old Latina girl and her friends. The show is designed to actively engage preschoolers in a play-along, computer-style adventure.
DORA THE EXPLORER
Dora the Explorer teaches children how to observe situations and solve problems as they explore Dora's world with her. Along the way, kids learn basic Spanish words and phrases, as well as math skills, music, and physical coordination. The show is highly interactive, and Dora's young viewers are encouraged throughout the show to respond to Dora and to actively participate in the adventure through physical movement.

made specifically for entertainment. The underwater life in the show is made to seem just like the life on earth with different characters such as clams act as birds and jellyfish resemble bees giving off jelly instead of honey.

Spongebob is known by all little kids and is one of the most popular cartoons ever made. The whole plot is set just for fun and to make little children love the show and continue to watch.

Jimmy neutron
Jimmy Neutron is a boy genius and in this cartoon he teaches the children watching, fun things that you can do using science. The experiments and inventions he makes and does gets children more interested in science and learn more about it even though they don’t realize they are learning. In the show jimmy’s experiments go wrong and yet he wont stop trying so it shows children even if you don’t succeed try again and learn from your mistakes.

hour special called “Rugrats: all growed up” was shown and received such good ratings producers filmed a spin off named “All grown up”. These episodes feature the original Rugrats characters but nine years older.
