Two-thirds of toddlers and young kids watch at least two hours of TV a day. The first 2 years of life are considered a

critical time for brain development. TV is thought

to get in the way of kids learning but in the 21st

century the cartoons that are on TV teach kids different life

lessons and teach them about the world.

Spongebob is known by all little kids and is one of the most popular cartoons ever made. The whole plot is set just for fun and to make little children love the show and continue to watch.

Jimmy Neutron is a boy genius and in this cartoon he teaches the children watching, fun things that you can do using science. The experiments and inventions he makes and does gets children more interested in science and learn more about it even though they don’t realize they are learning. In the show jimmy’s experiments go wrong and yet he wont stop trying so it shows children even if you don’t succeed try again and learn from your mistakes.

Nine years later, the Rugrats kids are no longer babies and now face the troubles that go with being a pre-teen. Because this show adjusted to the age group of its original fans, the rugrats kids are going through the same things their viewers are and showing them that it can all be ok.
