Briary Primary SchoolWeekly Learning at Home 2020
Year 1 and 2 Learning at Home for the week beginning: 18/01/21
Here is an overview of lessons to be completed each day. Children will be expected to spend a similar amount of time completing this as they would spend learning in school. Children can send any completed work to teachers via PurpleMash; from the PurpleMash home page, click the Work icon (top of the screen), then use the Upload icon on the right hand side. Alternatively, work that children complete on paper should be kept safe and returned to school when safe to do so.

Well, Happy Birthday to everyone who has had a birthday since we last saw you!
This challenge is about finding a variety of ways of asking questions which make 7.
You might think of 5 + 2, or 21 – 14...
Try to create examples that use all the different mathematical ideas that you know about – could you use multiplication or division?
Perhaps you could challenge yourself to find ways of making 7 that you think no-one else will have thought of.
If you are 5 or 6 instead of 7, you might like to use your

age instead!
PSHEPerseverance
If you want to get really good at something, then it will take time. There no shortcuts. It is all about trying hard and putting in the practice. If you look at anyone successful at anything then they will have worked really hard to get their skills to such a high level. A lot of people don’t like to try hard because they think it is too difficult – and these are the people who are not successful. People who are successful try very hard because they know their work will pay off. They enjoy working hard because they know they get the best out of themselves when they are challenged. To be successful at ANYTHING, you must not give up. People who are successful make mistakes, have bad luck, and are criticised by others – but they keep going and try their best to solve the problems put in front of them. Persevering is having the determination to keep going even when things don’t go well.
Briary Primary SchoolWeekly Learning at Home 2020
https://www.nationalgallery.org.uk/paintings/henri-rousseau-surprised This painting is often called ‘Surprised’. Why do you think this is?
Look at the tiger’s face. What do you notice?
What kind of weather can you see in the background? How is this affecting the tiger?
This week we will be focussing on the tiger – can you paint or make a collage of the tiger.
