Sermon emphasis on pastoral leadership During the last Sunday in April and the Sundays inMay, I will be sharing at least three sermons directedtoward the Biblical role of pastor. As members ofthis church body, I implore you to be present. In thenear future, you will have a new pastor and I wantyou to fully understand his authority, role andleadership prior to his arrival in Byromville.

Homecoming in Byromville is this year’s theme forTurkey Creek Festival. In keeping with that theme,our parade grand marshals will be the “Bes Buds” akathe 1962 Eighth Grade Class of ByromvilleElementary School.
Our live entertainment will also include some folks(or there children) whose old stomping ground wasByromville–Marshal Welch, Dick Kitchens’daughters and Joy (Josey) and Dennis Lanning. Andthe museum will be full of great old pictures fromByromville’s past. We’re even having a MysteryPhoto Contest. The winner will receive a gift card to Cracker Barrel.
Also on display in the museum will be Fred Causey’s“Georgia’s Official Centennial Celebration ofTarzan’s 100 Birthday” exhibit.th
Other entertainers scheduled to perform include BlackVelvet Band, Dancing Dolls, Marty Evans Band andthe Gospel Stars.
The basketball shootout, bicycle races, and hula hoopcontest will be back and hopefully the fire truck ridefor the kids. There will be other games and rides forthe kids as well as many food and other vendors. Besure to visit our Seasoned Saints booth with sausagebiscuits and coffee early and homemade cakes andcookies.
Prizes will be given away during the day. You dohave to be present to win.

Jubalheirs in concert at Perry First Baptist Church, May 4Jubalheirs is a choir made up of women who serve invarious capacities in music ministry. Founded in1973, Jubalheirs presents concerts under the directionof Dr. Jon Duncan. Like Sons of Jubal, Jubalheirs isalso a music and missions organization with a historyof many projects over the years. Their most recentproject was a mission project in Moldova, where liveswere touched, and Christ was shared through songsand testimony. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
