YOUR BIOLOGY 12 FINAL WILL BE IN AN INTERVIEW FORMAT WITH 5 STUDENTS AND YOUR TEACHER.
EACH STUDENT WILL HAVE 4-5 IMAGES DISPLAYED TO THEM AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK ABOUT WHAT THEY HAVE LEARNED ABOUT EACH IMAGE FOR APPROXIMATELY 30 SECONDS.
THE INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE IN BIOLOGY CLASS DURING THE EXTENDED BLOCKS FROM JUNE 15-18. THE TIME FOR EACH STUDENT WILL BEGIN WHEN THE IMAGE IS DISPLAYED, THE TIME WILL END WHEN THE NEXT IMAGE IS PUT UP. STUDENTS WILL ALTERNATE SPEAKING UNTIL ALL IMAGES ARE COVERED AND EACH STUDENT HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SPEAK 4-5 TIMES.
IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR FINAL A DROPBOX ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SET UP. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ACCEPT THE INVITE YOU WILL RECEIVE FROM YOUR TEACHER AND TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT FOR YOURSELF USING YOUR EMAIL.
IN THE BIOLOGY 12 FINAL 2015 FOLDER, YOU WILL FIND A LIST OF FOLDERS WITH ALL THE TOPICS COVERED OVER THE COURSE OF THE YEAR:• CELL STRUCTURES• CELL TRANSPORT• CIRCULATORY SYSTEM• DIGESTIVE SYSTEM• DNA REPLICATION• ENZYMES• EXCRETORY SYSTEM• PROTEIN SYNTHESIS• REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM• RESPIRATORY SYSTEM YOUR TASK IS TO OBTAIN IMAGES FROM THE WEB WHICH COVER TOPICS IN BIOLOGY 12. YOU WILL CREATE A SEPARATE WORD OR PDF DOCUMENT FOR EACH IMAGE THAT YOU CHOOSE. WITH THE IMAGE YOU WILL ALSO ADD A LIST OF VOCABULARY WHICH ARE RELEVANT.
• WHEN NAMING YOUR FILE (IN EACH FOLDER) START WITH YOUR BLOCK, LAST NAME, FIRST NAME
EXAMPLE: E. SMITH, JOHN• BE SURE TO INCLUDE IMAGES OF INDIVIDUAL
ORGANS AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. YOU MAY USE ARROWS TO POINT TO SPECIFIC STRUCTURES AS WELL.
• EACH STUDENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADDING A MINIMUM OF 2 PICTURES.
• YOUR TEACHER WILL MONITOR ALL FOLDERS AND ADD/REMOVE IMAGES AND VOCABULARY AS NEEDED.
