Dear Brentwood Academy Family,
We are thrilled to begin another Annual Giving Campaign by
thanking God and acknowledging everyone who gave sacrificially
last year.
Last year’s response was unprecedented with 100% participation
by parents, trustees and faculty, and a huge increase in
participation by alumni, parents of alumni and others in the
extended BA family. The extra funds provided by our generous
Challenge Gift donors strengthened the impact of our individual
gifts and ensured the fact that “every gift counts.” Once again,
we will utilize the Challenge Gift donations to encourage every
giver to make a pledge. We look forward to seeing how God
provides again this year.
We invite you to read the following profiles to catch a glimpse of
how your support of BA impacts not only our current generation
of students and families, but our world. Please consider making
a pledge, using the enclosed envelope, to support our school’s
mission, and join us as we watch our school grow in trust and
faith.

BA MISSION STATEMENTBrentwood Academy is a co-educational, independent, college preparatory school dedicated
to nurturing and challenging the whole person – body, mind, and spirit – to the glory of God.

“From day one, our students learn what community looks like. The way the school is structured with things like the middle school dens, the Big Brother Big Sister program and advisory groups - there are so many ways community is built into Brentwood Academy. The students probably don’t even realize how community-oriented they are until they go away from BA and see what it has meant to them. Our children were also greatly impacted by the Bible classes they took at BA. Our daughter is now majoring in sociology with an emphasis on pov-erty studies because of how she was impacted by her Religion and Culture class.”

“When I was in the 8th grade one of my teachers sat me down at a low point in my life when I thought I would transfer out of BA. His understanding of a troubled child and taking a personal interest in me changed my life’s
direction. I stayed at BA, and the following year, gave my life to Christ at a fall retreat. I was shown what true mentoring looks like and now am trying to pour into others. BA also instilled the importance of life-long learning in me. I am still obtaining further education in seminary.”

“Because of my relationship with one of my teachers, I became interested in orphan care and have been to China twice to work in orphanages. Now, I am so excited to share my passion with my friends at school. Last year, I helped start the Movement Club through Show Hope. The Movement was started in Williamson County and is spreading throughout the U.S. to help bring
students from unaware, to aware, to action in the orphan crisis. I can’t wait to help make it bigger and better so more students will be involved. The reason I ended up in China was because of the relationships I built at BA. I am so thankful. Lives are being changed!”

“I knew before I ever went to college that I wanted to come back to BA to teach because of the impact that mentors and teachers had on me when I was here. I think you see the core of our mission show up in these mentoring relationships with students, with co-workers and throughout our BA family. That has held true from my time as a student and up until now.”

MEET THE CHALLENGE MAKE AN IMPACT
Every gift makes an impact. This year, we will repeat
the Challenge Gift Program that was introduced last
year that resulted in more than $100,000 in additional
gifts. The key is your participation. Every gift pledged,
regardless of the amount, results in even more money
contributed by one of our Challenge Gift donors. We
invite you to continue the tradition with a gift to the
Annual Fund, making an impact on your world.
BA parent David Arms created a painting entitled
Integral (pictured below) to help commemorate and
celebrate participation in last year’s campaign. We are
grateful for the historic 100% participation by parents,
faculty and trustees, and the overwhelming increase in
participation from others in the larger BA family. We are
hope to achieve this level of support again this year.

“A nest is made up of so many different parts, but each part is integral. It is symbolic of the significance of each part that every person plays in our community. Every gift given plays a significant part. Annual Giving is about everyone coming together with one mind, one purpose and one goal.” - David Arms
