KEYNOTE SPEAKERDr. Maureen L. JohnsonE&P VP Operations TechnologyOMS, CI & Activity PlanningBP America Inc.
As a Vice President Operations Technology Maureen (Mo) Johnson isaccountable for supporting safe, reliable and efficient operations inExploration & Production (E&P). Her particular areas of focus are BP’sOperating Management System (OMS), Continuous Improvement (CI) andActivity Planning. Working w ith the line and functional subject matterexperts, her team plans and supports deployment of improvementstrategies in these focus areas.
Mo began her career in the oil & gas industry as a Facility Engineer workingin the gulf coast on-shore U.S. Follow ing graduate school, she joined ARCOAlaska in Anchorage and held a variety of engineering and operationsassignments covering Prudhoe Bay and Kuparuk fields. In the “lower 48”,she held a number of asset management positions, among these were MidContinent Area Man-ager for Vastar Resources, an independent E&Pcompany. In addition, she has had held roles as Commercial Manager andChief of Staff. Immediately prior to her current role, Mo was Business UnitLeader of Greater Prudhoe Bay.
Mo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering fromMichigan Technological University and Ph.D. from Rice University’sDepartment of Environmental Science and Engineering.Mo and her husband Todd Torczon reside in Houston w ith their two sons,Mitchell and Owen.
