• The ESM2 program is an initiative to optimize the utilization of time constrained components and extend the current Phase Maintenance cycle.
• Major Changes in the Scheduled Maintenanceprogram are:− Extension of the Phase Maintenance Inspection (PMI) cycle from
360/720 to 480/960 Flight Hour (FH)− Provides an additional 240 FH per scheduled maintenance cycle− Creates a savings of 0.47 Maintenance
Man Hours per Flight Hour (MMH/FH)− All maintenance tasks and intervals
jointly approved by Sikorsky Engineering and Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED)
A typical Assault Battalion saves 2,510 MMH of scheduled maintenance annually.
