We want to thank everyone who came to the Chamber’s Annual Business Breakfastthis past Monday. The Brown County RuralWater Association received this year’sDrucker Award of Excellence and Dr. Ned Lodwick was recognized with the LifetimeAchievement Award.With almost 220 people in attendance, it was one of the mostsuccessful yet. Our next breakfast will be totally different and will be free.The Chamber will host a benefits fair at the Gaslight Theatre onWednesday, Feb.
27. “What’s in it for me?Why should I join the Chamber?” are two of the questionsthat we hear a lot. Many members join for the networking opportunities, like theBusiness Breakfast and even the regular monthly meetings. Others join for the dis-counts on health insurance and workers comp. The Brown County Chamber ofCommerce is a member of the Southern Ohio ChamberAlliance and it is through thataffiliation that we are able to offer those discounts. That affiliation also gives our mem-bers nine other programs to help reduce their bottom line. Representatives of each ofthe benefit providers will be on hand to explain their programs and how they can helpyour bottom line. deadline is 10 a.m. Monday for publication that afternoon. The feedback on it has beenpositive. The most common response was having all the Chamber email in one place ishandy and more people tend to read it.Our next projects are the annual golf outing and the business expo. The committees
