Return Religious Education Sign Up Sheets ASAP
Please sign up and return your registration forms ASAP, time is running out! We need to plan
accordingly. We did not charge a late fee this year to give you the opportunity to sign up at
your convenience without a deadline or penalty. However, by not implementing a deadline,
we find that some of you are not signing up in a timely manner which makes it very difficult to
plan for the upcoming school year. At some point we need to finalize the numbers. It is quite
the process allocating children to classrooms and getting volunteers to teach along with
ordering books and supplies. Your cooperation and attention to this matter is greatly
appreciated.
In a nutshell please sign up ASAP. Hopefully we do not have to go back to having a late fee
in the future.
Also, we are looking for teachers, if you would like to teach or have questions contact Jo-Ann
Rossi at [email protected] and you will save 25% off of the cost of your tuition.
14th Sunday in Ordinary Time Have you ever stopped to consider all of the people who have done something for you that makes your life better? Parents, relatives, friends, neighbors, teachers, pastors, nuns, and strangers have helped us along the way. From them we learned life skills and life lessons that serve us all through life, everything from catechism to math, from tying our shoes to writing our résumé. We owe others so much for our success. So how do you say thanks? We can express our appreciation in so many ways. A written note, a conversation, or a small gift can acknowledge someone’s gift to us and offer thanks for his or her generosity. That assumes we know who they are, or can remember what they have done. But others have worked anonymously, or helped us at a time when we did not realize how good they were to us. So, the best way to express our thanks is to pass on the gift we have received. By teaching or helping or mentoring someone else, we honor those who have made a difference in our life, enabling their generosity to continue influencing and helping others. Be grateful for all that you have received and pass it on!

Adult Faith Formation - Book Review
Join us this August to discuss the book One, Holy,
Catholic and Apostolic by Kenneth D. Whitehead.
This book contains lots of historical facts and figures.
However, your focus while reading should be on the
“big picture” questions, such as “What do Catholics
believe?” and “Why do they believe it?”
Fr. Patrick will be leading a discussion group in
August on this book (Date tbd). If interested in
obtaining a copy of the book to read in July to
prepare for the book discussion, please contact the
office at 781-944-0330. For any questions please
contact Maria Blewitt at [email protected]
or 617-640-0458.

Prayer Group Forming Micah 6:8 says: "He has shown you, Oh mortal, what
is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To
act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with
your God." Isaiah 1:17 says, "Learn to do right! Seek
justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause
of the fatherless. Plead the case of the widow.
Countless times, we are called by God to assist those
who are less fortunate than us and those who suffer.
Gary Haugen, President of International Justice
Mission argues: "The work of justice begins with
prayer. As we seek justice on behalf of others, we
rely on an all-powerful God to help us do what is only
possible with and through him." While it's true that
seeking justice requires money, time and resources,
it also requires prayer. Katie Curtis is starting a
prayer group that will meet at 3:00 on Sundays to
pray for issues of injustice in the world, and for those
who seek justice. Anyone can come and there's no
commitment. Just come with something you would
like the group to pray for.
Contact Katie at: [email protected] if you
are interested in coming and/or have any questions.
