St Luke’s Edshowedusthesiteandtheforemanspokeaboutthechallengesandfindingsduringthegroundworks,nothingveryexcitingorcontroversialbutfascinatingnevertheless.Worksduetocompleteinthesummerof2017.WeleftthebuildingsiteandwenttoAlphaGroveCommunitycentre,thecurrentSundayhometotheStLuke’schurchfamilywhereweenjoyedbreakfastalfresco.EdaskedforourprayersasheandtheleadershipatStLuke’spreparethecongregationformovingintotheirnewhomein2017,thetransitionfromeffectivelyanomadicstatustopropertyownerswillbesignificant.Notalotof‘business’assuchbutafewkeyconversations:New Clergy WewelcomedRevErinClarkrecentlydeaconedandcurateatStMatthewsBethnalGreen.WewelcomedRevEllaSharpleswhohadbeenlicensedatourpreviousmeeting,tothechaplaincyatQMU.Pokemon Go BekihadcaughtoneonthewaytoChapterthatmorning! Variouschurchesareconsideringhowbesttorespondtothislatestcraze.QMU Chaplaincy Ellaspokeofhowsheintendstousethesummertorecoverfromthefloodinherofficejustdaysafterherlicensing,andtogettoknowlocalchurches,membersoffacultyandotherstakeholders,dopleasecontactEllaifyouwouldliketoconnectwithregardtothechaplaincy.
