The program focuses on architecture and design conceptsused in the construction industry. Architecture & Design

Students interested in the Electrical/HVAC program have a strong desire to work with their mind andtheir hands. Students will have the opportunity to engage in real-world applications, collaborate withsome of the industry’s top rated business professionals, and work with plumbers, welders, andconstruction managers. Electricians read blueprints, use different types of hand and power tools torun and protect wiring. Electricians may also use ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, andcable testers to find problems and ensure that components are working properly. Heating, airconditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers—often called HVAC technicians—work onheating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration systems that control the temperature and air quality inbuildings. Students interested in Construction Technology, also referred to as Carpentry, have a strong desireto work with their hands and their minds. The Construction Technology program focuses on trainingand equipping students for a career in carpentry. The Academy’s Construction Technology programis unique in that the curriculum is highly vested in project-based learning. Students will have theopportunity to engage in real-world applications and collaborate with some of the industry’s top-rated business professionals. Upon completion of the Construction Technology - Carpentry programstudents will be prepared to enter the workforce post high school, attend a two-year college andearn an Associate’s Degree and/or participate in an approved apprenticeship program to furthertheir apprenticeship training hours. Carpentry

Students interested in the Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Welding (PPW) program have a strong desireto work with their hands. The program is unique in that the curriculum is highly vested in projectbased learning. Students will have the opportunity to engage in real-world applications, collaboratewith some of the industry’s top rated business professionals, and work with plumbing and weldingcompanies. Upon completion of the PPW program, students will be prepared to enter the work forcepost high school, attend a two-year college, earn an Associate’s Degree and/or a certification in afield of their choice. Plumbing, Pipefitting & Welding

Students interested in the Academy’s Applied Engineering program have a strong desire to designand create utilizing critical thinking skills acquired in previous scholastic courses and lifeexperiences. This program focuses on civil engineering, structural engineering, and technicaldrawing utilizing AutoCAD and REVIT, surveying, and engineering physics (buoyancy, fluidmechanics, and heat transfer). Students will design, build, and test projects using industry-recognized practices. Students will engage in real-world applications and collaborate with some ofthe industry’s top engineers in the construction industry through job shadowing and internshipopportunities.
