Door Interlock - Euchner - Head - Replacement

Introduction

This procedure tells you how to replace the headon the door-interlock switch. This new head is aquick and easy replacement of the polycarbonatecomponent, and will restore the interlock to fullfunctionality. Over time, or after excessive force,the polycarbonate components inside theinterlock can wear out. Do this procedure if thedoor interlock system has one of thesesymptoms:

1. The door does not lock.2. The machine shows door fault alarms.3. The CE Interlock Switch Key (P/N

61-1013/61-1015/61-1016) does not gosmoothly into the interlock head.

Machine Compatibility

Do this procedure for:

• Machines that have a TP-series Euchnerdoor-interlock system with a partnumber [1] that ends with a K, N, or M.

Replacement

1Push [POWER OFF].

Set the main circuit breaker to the OFF position.

Lock the main circuit breaker. Use an approvedlock with an approved safety tag.

2Remove the old interlock head [1] from theactuator body.

Install the new interlock HEAD [A].

Use a Torx driver to tighten the (4) screws [2]. Donot tighten the screws too much.

Test the interlock:

• Close the doors.• Run the spindle at more than 1000 rpm.• The doors lock.
