ARC-51NOverhead Concealed Door Closer and ‘Springless’ Pivot

FunctionThe ARC-51N is designed to provide a controlled closing of single or double action aluminium doors. Features include dual closing speeds to allow flexibility in its closing action, three levels of spring tension, 90° hold-open facility, and a comprehensive fixing pack including a fixing channel. Specially designed arms are available to suit anti-finger trap aluminium sections. A heavy duty bottom pivot is supplied as standard.

A ‘springless’ version of the ARC-51N is also available which makes fabrication of a free swinging door possible without changing the standard section preparation. Surface mounted power assisted closers can then be fitted where automatic doors are required.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).The Overhead Concealed ARC-51N Springless version uses a standard section preparation allowing installation of a surface mounted power assisted closer to aid compliance with the requirements of the DDA.

ARC-55 KNSurface Mounted Door Closer

FunctionDesigned to provide a controlled closing of single action doors. Each closer has an extruded anodised aluminium body and a steel rack and pinion mechanism. Features include dual closing speeds to allow flexibility in the door closing action and adjustable spring strength allowing flexibility in installation and stockholding. The spring strength is dictated by the position of the door closer on the door or door frame. A parallel arm bracket is included with the door closer fixing kit as standard. The regular arms are equipped with a power adjustment bracket which enables the power of the closer to be increased or decreased by 10%. The closer is reversible for both clockwise and anti-clockwise situations and a comprehensive fixing pack, template and fitting instructions are included with each closer.

The ‘KN’ range closer has been independently tested to the requirements of BS EN 1154: 1996 and in addition has been included in a fire test to BS EN 1634-01: 2000 on a doorset design with ratings up to FD 30 minutes. Test Report WARRES No. 117935. The ‘KN’ range closer has been further assessed by Warrington Fire Research so that the closer may be used in conjunction with a suitably tested timber fire resistant doorset design, with ratings up to FD 120 minutes. Assessment Report No. C117598.

FunctionDoor closers for use on internal and external doors. The 250 is particularly suitable for doors exposed to high wind pressure or heavy use. The cam action ensures the door is light to open while retaining its strength, making these closers ideal for use by disabled people, the elderly and young children.
