Skill Development;
All start in a 24x24m box.
1. Players have to randomly pass 6-8 balls between each other with the following conditions;
After every pass you run out of the box around a marker 6-7m away.
Don’t follow the ball.
Don’t pass to nearest man.
Coaching Points;
1. No overhead passes, movement, angled runs, clear passing channels, protect the ball when you receive
it, use the correct hand if man to your left use right hand and to your right use the left hand.
Skills;
1 Hand Passing, pick-ups, high catch, slams, blocking, evasion etc.
2 Two ball drills / complex skills.

1. Set up 8no cones 12m apart as shown. Have 24 players and 3 at each station.
2. To start have a ball at 1, 3, 5 & 7.
3. Have a coach at the back of three groups giving a 1-2 skill with player’s as they arrive back.

Set Up
1. Set up nine even grids as shown each approx. 27m x 22m from the end line – 65m line and the full width
of the pitch.
2. Groups of players in 2’s, 3’s, 4’s or 5’s.
3. The ball has to be kicked greater than 30m in numerical sequence i.e. 1-2-3-1 (no more than one bounce).
Coaching Points
1. Good quality kicking and breaking down the technical coaching points of the kick pass.
2. Visual communication, pointing, go away to come back.

1. Shadowing, passive pressure, on the clock and moving zones.

Set Up;
1. Have a 3v3 in front of the main goals with 3v3 waiting behind the goals.
2. In the middle of the pitch set up an 18x18m box as shown.
3. Have 4v3 in a box and rest waiting.
4. To start the coach throws the ball to the forwards and they have to keep possession until the coach blows
his whistle then they deliver the ball with a kick pass.
Coaching Points;
1. Inside 3 forwards to create space and lose their man.
Progression;
1. Put in a sweeper and the players in the 18x18m box go in support.
