Question: Property [Sta 1220+00 to 1235+00] drops ~4 feet below road. With new sidewalk will there be fill? I want to put in a fence, can I put it in or should I wait?
No changes to the frontage road/sidewalk are proposed as part of the I-10, I-410 to Loop 1604 project adjacent to this property.
Construction is scheduled to begin soon for the conversion of frontage roads between Foster Road and Loop 1604, which was cleared as a separate project. The sidewalk is part of the frontage road project. Comment has been provided to the TxDOT San Antonio District I-10 frontage road project team.
I am planning a landfill. I do not like the conversion of the frontage road from two-way to one-way. My customers (trucks) will need to drive to FM 1516 to turn around.
See above response regarding the frontage road project. The proposed turnaround lanes at FM 1516 would facilitate the turnaround movements customers make at this intersection.

The project seems beneficial to ease traffic congestion & danger on highway in peak periods where traffic is backed up on highway.
Comment noted.
We have concern for our guests staying at the hotel that may be affected by noise, particularly late night/early morning. Also concern over utilities being shut-off for our guests – and, if this is necessary, if this can be scheduled with us directly to minimize impact. We would like to request that night work is not done around the hotel.
We would be grateful for any assistance that you may provide with regards to the above comments.

Noise impacts to sensitive receptors are considered as part of the environmental review process for the project. In accordance with TxDOT guidance and practice, the outdoor pool is being analyzed as part of the study, since noise analyses are concerned with areas of frequent outdoor use. In addition, noise is analyzed for the loudest hour – that hour which represents the worst case combination of vehicle mix and speeds.
Noise associated with the construction of the project is difficult to predict. Heavy machinery, the major

source of noise in construction, is constantly moving in unpredictable patterns. However, construction normally occurs during daylight hours when occasional loud noises are more tolerable. No extended disruption of normal activities is expected. Provisions will be included in the plans and specifications that require the contractor to make every reasonable effort to minimize construction noise through abatement measures such as work-hour controls and proper maintenance of muffler systems.
The TxDOT contractor will also be required to coordinate anticipated utility shut off, if necessary, with adjacent businesses and property owners. Comment has also been provided to the TxDOT San Antonio District I-10 frontage road project team.

I-10 East, from I-410 to Loop 1604, in Bexar County, Texas The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) San Antonio District will hold a public meeting to present proposed improvements for I-10, from 0.6 miles west of I-410 to 2 miles east of Loop 1604, in southeast Bexar County, Texas. The public meeting will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the True Vision Church – Northeast, at 2826 Ackerman Road, San Antonio, TX 78219. The proposed project would upgrade the existing I-10 mainlanes and add one lane in each direction. The proposed improvements would also include reconstruction of interchanges and ramps along the project limits and modification of frontage roads at Loop 1604 and Graytown Road. Approximately 5 acres of right of way would be required.
The public and anyone interested in the project are invited to attend the public meeting. The meeting will be in an open house format with no formal presentation, so attendees can come and go at their convenience. Attendees will have the opportunity to view project maps and schematics of the proposed improvements, visit with team members, ask questions, and share their comments on the project. This information is available by appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the TxDOT San Antonio District Office located at 4615 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78229. To make an appointment or for questions about the project contact Clayton Ripps, P.E., Advanced Transportation Planning Director, (210) 615-6076. The public meeting will be conducted in English. Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact Melissa Bernal at (210) 615-5811. El Departamento de Transporte de Texas (TxDOT por sus sigla en inglés) Distrito de San Antonio llevará acabo una reunión pública para presentar las mejoras propuestas a lo largo de la I-10, a 0.6 millas oeste de la I-410 hasta 2.0 millas este del Loop 1604, en el sureste del Condado de Bexar, Texas. La reunión pública se llevará a cabo el Jueves 3 de Noviembre, 2016, de 5:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. en la Iglesia True Vision - Noreste, en el 2826 Ackerman Rd, San Antonio, TX 78219. El proyecto propuesto mejoraría los carriles principales existentes de la I-10 y añadiría un carril en cada dirección. Attendees will have the opportunity to view project maps and schematics of the proposed improvements, visit with team members, ask questions, and share their comments on the project. This information is available by appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the TxDOT San Antonio District Office located at 4615 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78229. El Departamento de Transporte de Texas (TxDOT por sus sigla en inglés) Distrito de San Antonio llevará acabo una reunión pública para presentar las mejoras propuestas a lo largo de la I-10, a 0.6 millas oeste de la I-410 hasta 2.0 millas este del Loop 1604, en el sureste del Condado de Bexar, Texas. Need for the Proposed Project
TTraffic along I-10 is projected to increase approximately 40% by the year 2040 and the percentage of trucks also continues to increase.
Pavement is deteriorating because of heavy traffic and poor soil conditions.
Existing interchange designs limit mobility.
Existing two-way frontage roads do not meet design standards.

PProposed Improvements
One mainlane would be added in each direction to accommodate traffic growth.
Existing I-10 mainlanes would be reconstructed to address deteriorating pavement conditions.
Mobility would be addressed by improving the function of interchanges at Ackerman Road, Foster Road, Loop 1604, and Graytown Road.

TTwo-way frontage roads between Loop 1604 and Pfeil Road would be changed to one-way operation to improve safety.
Two-way frontage roads west of Loop 1604 are being changed to one-way under a separate project -- currently underway.
New frontage road would be provided for Loop 1604 north of I-10 to provide access to adjacent properties.
Sidewalks would be added along proposed frontage roads.
Proposed improvements are within the existing right of way (ROW) with approximately 5 acres of additional ROW that would need to be acquired. No displacements are anticipated.
