When configur ing NetWorker 7.6 SP1 and earlier in an AutoStar t 5.4 or later cluster env ironment, contact support to obtain the nwclust.pl script, then copy this script to the AutoStart binary installation directory (for ex ample, /opt/EMCas54/bin).

When upgrading to NetWorker 7.6 SP2, the NetWorker 7.6 SP2 release includes the script, but since the location of the script has changed, the lcmap script needs to be updated to point to the new location. To reconfigure the

AutoStart cluster so that the generated lcmap script points to the correct location of the nwclust.pl script.

On UNIX, run netw orker.cluster –r, then run netw orker.cluster

On Window s, run lc_config –r, then run lc_config

In alignment w ith Microsoft’s end of support for Window s 2000, NetWorker releases no longer support the Window s 2000 platform

All the prepackaged components except NMM are deliv ered in a single blob. All the prepackaged components are licensed through a single enabler

NetWorker Fast Star t also includes a license for a 40-slot auto-changer. This license is prov ided as a separated enabler

All the components and products compatible w ith NetWorker 7.5.x and 7.4.x are also compatible w ith NetWorker Fast Start 7.5.x and 7.4.x respectiv ely. NetWorker Fast Start is a full featured NetWorker release, not a

“ light v ersion” , and prov ides support for all the features of a full featured NetWorker release, such as de-duplication and sy stem recov ery.

The easy install and auto configuration for the NetWorker Fast Start serv er component is only available on Linux and Windows

NetWorker Fast Star t supports the same clients supported in the corresponding NetWorker release, how ev er the Fast Start client installa tion, auto detection and auto-configuration is only av ailable w ith the prepackaged

clients (Linux and Window s). Any client different from Linux and Windows has to be installed using the OS specific installation process.

NetWorker Fast Star t 7.6 SP1 ex pands the support for Sharepoint application using NMM, in addition to NMM for Ex change (earlier Ex change backups w ere configured w ith NME), NMSQL and NMO.

For 20 Client License, Up to 5 application modules, w ith a choice of NMO, NME, NMSQL and NMM could be used with NetWorker Fast Start single enabler.

For 10 Client License, 1 application module, w ith a choice of NMO, NME, NMSQL and NMM could be used w ith NetWorker Fast Start single enabler

NetWorker Fast Star t automatically installs NMM, NMSQL and NMO for Sharepoint,/Exchange, SQL and Oracle protection respectiv ely. 1 Ex cept Web Edition. 3 VSS is not supported on Window s XP. 4 NMM license is av ailable in Fast Start 7.5 SP1 and later. 5 Support current v ersion and all serv ice packs and updates.
