Let’s Do Lunch! Worksheet for kids age 4 and up.Everyone loves to dine out at restaurants. Now, you can “dine out” at home! Have guests fill out this menu for your very own restaurant.

What you’ll need:

• Printout “menu”• Food items• Fake or real money for “guests”• Writing utensil

Directions:

1. First, make sure that you have all the food items on hand that are on the “menu” for guests to choose from. (These can be real or play food items!)

2. Also, make sure guests have enough money to “buy” as many items as they can order. Use your own money or pretend by cutting out and using the included Penny money.

3. Next, hand out the menu worksheet to restaurant guests. A writing utensil will be helpful to easily mark which items they’d like to order.

4. Collect the menus and write up a “bill” of the food items they’ve ordered. Once finished, give the worksheet back to your guests.

5. Now, guests will see what they’ve ordered, how much each item costs, and the total price. Have guests count their money to find the total amount and pay their bill.

Use the worksheet multiple times with different values to keep money counting skills sharp. This also is a great introduction to real world money situations. Have fun!
