About the founder,M. Samuel Noordhoff, M.D.
Dr. Noordhoff is well known in Taiwanby his contribution to Taiwan .
He and his family made the long journey of over 20 daysacross the ocean from United States to Taiwan in 1959, topractice medicine and spread God's love for 40 years.
Dr. Noordhoff has served as superintendent of both theMackay Memorial Hospital and the Chang Gung MemorialHospital, playing an instrumental role in establishing asystem for development of medicine for all of Taiwan andestablishing many milestones along the way, such as thefirst polio rehabilitation center, the first burn center, the firstintensive care unit and the first craniofacial center.
In the winter of 1989, Dr. Noordhoff donated US$100,000of his hard-earned life savings to establish the NoordhoffCraniofacial Foundation Taiwan.4 財團法人 羅慧夫顱顏基金會
