INTRODUCTION TO DJ TOOLING AND JIGS DIV.
D-J Engineering (D-J) operates
under the guide lines of our
AS9100C compliant Quality
Manual. Each step is regulated by
DJE Work Instructions/DJE Work
Procedures, which are part of the
basic Quality Manual.
The D-J Engineering Tooling Department designs and fabricates tooling of all types for use within D-J as well as delivery to OEM customers.
Manufacturing capabilities:
Fiberglass lay-ups
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
Holding Jig/ Fixture
Master Tools
All customer onsite tools is accountable and secured in a climate controlled warehouse at no additional cost.
This tool is 65 feet long, 8 feet high, 6 feet wide. The fixture was made in sections, assembled into one unit while maintaining three place dimensional tolerances, then shipment and installation at the customer’s facility.

This rack is designed in 3 separate tools
to hold wing components, there are
numerous close tolerance locations
throughout the rack that have to mate with
the aircraft wing components and
customized shipping container in order to
secure the parts for shipment.
