The Cutting Edge in PCD Tool ManufactureThe new ANCA EDGe erosion and tool grinding machine gives you the flexibility to erode PCD tools AND grind carbide and HSS tools. It is suitable for both manufacture and tool refurbishment. With its double-ended wheel spindle, it has the dual functionality to erode PCD and grind carbide/HSS in one set-up.
The EDGe is one of the most innovative erosion and grinding machines on the market. The EDGe-Spark erosion power generator and CNC servo control, include the latest in technology.

ANCA’s user-friendly ToolRoom software provides industry renowned tool design flexibility - from the simplest to the most challenging tasks. Incorporating ANCA’s many years of software experience, ToolRoom ensures that the EDGe will efficiently handle any manufacturing or regrinding challenge.
EDGe-Spark Erosion GeneratorANCA is a technology leader, with over 30 years experience building innovative and leading edge CNC machines. This expertise has been applied to the development of the EDGe.
ANCA’s proprietary EDGe-Spark erosion generator and the latest generation AM5000 CNC control system have been brought together to allow for superior position feedback and high speed real time communications.
ANCA’s EDGe-Spark generator monitors and controls the energy level of every spark and adaptively adjusts the gap distance for optimum surface finish, material removal and cycle time. It automatically adapts every spark for the resistivity of the substrate, whether it is tungsten carbide, diamond or cobalt binder.
The ANCA EDGe-Spark generator satisfies any erosion requirement. From efficient removal during roughing, to achieving a finished surface roughness down to 0.2 µm Ra, the erosion parameters can be easily selected and quickly adjusted if necessary.

EDGe ToolRoom SoftwareIncreased flexibility is the advantage that sets ANCA and its customers ahead of the competition. ANCA has decades of tool grinding experience and is industry renowned for its user-friendly and flexible tool design software. EDGe software design benefits from this experience, now offering producers of PCD tools a level of flexibility and productivity that ANCA customers have benefitted from since 1974.
ANCA’s ToolRoom software provides intuitive tool design to cater for a wide range of tool types and applications. Tool geometry parameters are entered into the user-friendly interface with no need for time consuming programming. ToolRoom enables the EDGe to efficiently handle any regrinding or manufacture challenge.
The machine operator is able to easily and quickly setup or modify tool programs, depending upon the required tool type. Adjustments to the tool geometry are simple and intuitive for all users. For more proficient users, advanced software pages exist to access complex tool designs and operations.

EDGe AutomationFastLoad Compact Loader
Compact in design, this loader is mounted in the EDGe machine and does not increase the machine footprint. Because it uses the existing machine axes for pallet movement and tool loading it is more affordable than other models. It provides automatic tool loading, enabling extended periods of unmanned operation for maximised productivity.
