The profile of the volunteer:

trainers, youth workers, youth leaders familiar with non formal education willing to lear more about Diversity and how concepts as prejudices and

stereotypes are linked with intercultural learning field

interested in new non formal method Living Library within Diversity and itsimplementation into Youth in Action Programme

Training content:The most actual concepts of Diversity will be summarized and discussed

The importance of respecting Diversity in the field of intercultural learning will be

adressed

Living Library (Human Library) will be introduced as a non formal method that can be asan instrument in the social inclusion and diversity field

Participants will have the opportunity to organize themselves a Living Library (Human

Library)

Living Library (Human Library)The Living Library works exactly like a normal library readers come and borrow a'book' for a limited period of time. After reading it they return the Book to the library

and if they want they can borrow another Book. There is only one difference: the

Books in the Living Library are human beings, and the Books and readers enter into a

Working language:The knowledge of English on communicative level is requiered

Costs:70% of travel costs will be reimbursed
