DISTINGUISHED EDUCATOR James Morrison, B.S. in Social Studies Education, M.S. in Social Science, Ph.D. in Higher Education Dr. James Morrison received a B.S. in Social Studies Education, M.S. in Social Science, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education, all from Florida State University. In addition, he studied German at the University of Heidelberg and German and Sociology at the University of Munich. He is currently serving as Professor Emeritus of Education at UNC-Chapel Hill. He served as Vice President (Division J) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and received the Distinguished Scholar Award from AERA’s Special Interest Group on Strategic Change. Dr. Morrison has served as consulting editor of The Review of Educational Research, The American Educational Research Journal, and the ASHE-ERIC Research Report Series. He is the founding editor of three peer-reviewed publications: On the Horizon, The Technology Source, and Innovate. He is author and co-author of nine books and over 200 journal articles focusing on educational planning and on using information technology tools in educational organizations. He has presented over 240 conference presentations and workshops around the world.

Dr. James Morrison received a B.S. in Social Studies Education, M.S. in Social Science, and his Ph.D. in Higher Education, all from Florida State University.
