It seems a natural element in growing up. Children love guessing games, and quick competitions helps to re-energize the class and provide a break from the challenges of academics. San Academy gives a platform for students to participate in various competitions outside the walls of School. It’s very important for students to grab every opportunity that comes their way. Students should take active part in competitions as it plays an important role in motivating them to perform and excel and offer a lot more reward than just the winning prize. Competitions offer a chance for students to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. Competitions also encourage students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills. Achievements through competitions can leave great imprints. Parents should encourage the students to makes use of every opportunity and guide their children to participate in competitions in which their child is interested. Life has become a race where everyone wants to or is desperate to win. Winning is a good thing and also admirable, but we need to make our children understand that every time winning is not everything. Participation is also very important. Participation is the first step to winning. First Day - Nursery -11.06.2018Children of Nursery had lots of surprises and fun, filled in for their first day in the school. The decorated doors, vibrant classrooms, colourful ambiance welcomed the children joyfully. The teachers relished their first day with their students by being a part in all these activities, thus making the entire campus blissful.

Clown Day - Nursery -18.06.2018

Clowns are comic performers who bring laughter by their dressing and performance. To fill in with laughter and to give recognition to those funny clowns that make us laugh and smile CLOWN’S DAY was organized for Nursery children. One of our support staff dressed up as a clown and entertained the children performing acrobats and juggling balls and kids reciprocated the same way by moving along with the clown.

Jr.KG - Fathers Day-13.06.18

“Some super heroes don’t have capes... They are called dad...” San academy KK Nagar celebrated father’s day for kindergarten students, where an invite was extended to all the fathers through email for the occasion.The kids entertained the fathers through out the session by displaying their talent by singing father rhymes. There were games planned for the event, which involved participation of respective parent with their kid such as backpack packing , puzzle fixing etc. The highlight among the game was walking on their dad’s foot, which represented the fact that, children will walk on the path which is shown by their fathers.The occasion ended with our tiny tots presenting their father with a tie and the entire occasion was remembered by a photo souvenir which was arranged at the venue.

SrKG-Fathers Day -13.06.18The teachers of Senior KG children displayed the best moments with dad through a PPT and children spoke about the special moment with their dad.

Sr.KG - Group Activity - 22.06.18Group activity provides an opportunity to negotiate, build team work, encourages analytical skill and creativity. Each Senior KG class presented different types of houses using sticks,hay,tiles on a chart, coloured it exquisitely with impressive colours. This helped the children to understand the concept of each type of house.

Jr.KG - Group Activity - 21.06.18 & 22.06.18Team building activities and games are supposed to be educational and enjoyable. To understand about the ill effects of noise pollution, land pollution, air pollution and water pollution, each junior kg class made a collage of each pollution as a group activity for their class. This helped them to work in a group and exchange their thoughts.

SrKG - International Yoga Day - 21.06.18Yoga for health was the message given to

Sr KG children of San Academy KKN on International yoga day.The teachers took turns and demonstrated some important asanas that improves concentration,memory,strengthens muscles and bones and calms the mind and body like thadasana or mountain pose, cow, cat, butterfly, tree poses. Children were also told to be aware of their breathing.The children enjoyed doing them which brought calmness and peace in them and in the environment.

Jr.KG - School Tour Day - 19.06.2018A school provides learning spaces and learning environment for the children.Jr KG children were taken on a conducted tour of San Academy as part of a special event. The children held placards to let everyone know that they are on a school tour with their classmates. The teachers guided them to visit different and special areas and rooms of their school. The children enjoyed the school tour thoroughly with their classmates.

Eid Celebrations - Nur to Class I

Eid Celebrations - 14.06.18Eid ul Fitr is the most important festival of the Muslims. The festival is celebrated across the whole world. It’s the occasion of joy, sweetness and happiness. To make the day memorable, the kindergarten and class 1 celebrated Eid on 14th June. The children learnt how and why Eid is celebrated through a programme put up by the children. The EID prayer and Namaz demonstration, Quran recitation; dances were some of the highlights.The festival conveys love,peace,happiness to all and offering charity to the needy. Eid Mubharak!!

Nursery - Grand Parents Day - 25.06.18To honour the wonderful and special relationship between grandparents and their grandchildren, the Kindergarten section of San Academy KKN celebrated Grandparents day on 25th June 2018 between 10.30 and 11.30 am. The stage was beautifully set to receive them.The enthusiastic grandparents along with their grandkids participated in fun filled games organized by the Nursery teachers.The games included mix and match with small blue and red balls,clay modeling and packing the backpack for their grandkids.Tea and snacks were served to the grandparents.A few grandparents travelled to participate in this celebration and everyone thoroughly enjoyed being with their grand kids.

Primary – Class III-VIII -Club Activities - 07.06.2018,14.06.2018, 21.06.2018 & 27.06.2018Month of June kick started with the Culinary Club to encourage students develop interest in cooking. Cooking with kids is a great way to educate them about good nutrition, what’s in season, planning and preparing meals and reading food labels. Plus, it can encourage them to eat healthy foods. Cooking may even help get students interested in trying healthy foods they might normally refuse to eat. Students of Class III enjoyed making of Peanut Masala, Mosambi Juice, Biscuit Sandwich, Pomegranate Juice, Bread Sandwich Rolls while Class IV and V tried their hands on Sprouted Green gram Masala , Mosambi juce, Cheesy Biscuit Starter, Pomegranate Juice, Macaroni Mayo Salad. Class VI to VIII were very much interested to try their hands on making of Sweet Peanut Ladoos, Shahi Tukda, Macaroni Mayo Salad andCucumber Cheese bed.

Good manners will open the doors that the best education cannot. SAN Academy, kamakoti nagar, fo-cussed on the importance of table etiquette as a part of the June month Club activity “Culinary club” for the students of Classes VI-VIII. Table manners mirrors a person’s image to the society. Students visited “The zone”, for enriching their table manners by learning it from the professionals. The trip really had an impact on the students to inculcate their table etiquette during all scenarios.

RHAPSODY - 13.06.2018RHAPSODY - SINGING STARS - AN EVENING WITH RAHMAN SIR!Rhapsody musical foundation celebrated the 5th anniversary of their Musical Journey with the Singing Stars of our School! We are indeed proud that our children partnered with children, from marginalized and disadvantaged backgrounds in the presence of Dr. A.R.Rahman, who was the Guest of honour on this occasion. The event also featured a special performance by ARR Foundation’s “ Brass Orchestra”.San academy Kamakoti nagar rocked the stage with their rendition and with Dr. A.R. Rahman in the fore-front as an audience , the spectators were spell bound by the music rhythms. San academy is proud of its students and wishes them very best in pursuit of their passion.

Robotics with phiro code and pocket code- 14.06.2018Our generation kids out-smart everyone, when it comes to the usage of technologies such as android mobiles and various gadgets. Class VIII students of SAN Academy, kamakoti nagar have taken this to the next level by developing and coding their own mobile games as part of “Robotics programme” event conducted on 14.6.18, under the guidance of “Mr.Wolf gang Slany”, Head of the Institute for the software technology, Austria- Europe and the trainer of the programme.

AIASC -All India Asteroid Search Campaign - 12.06.2018All India Asteroid Search Campaign (AIASC) is one of the most prominent campaign conducted in collaboraton with International Astronomical Search Collaboration (IASC, Hardin-Simmons University, Texas, USA). SPACE India is the coordinator for this highly recognized campaign in India. This unique workshop was conducted on 12.06.2018. Only seven schools in Chennai were selected for this programme and San academy, Kamakoti nagar is proud of the fact that our school was one of the seven schools selected to represent the student community at this prestigious event.Under this campaign, our students got exclusive access to images of the sky taken at observatories and analyzed the data with specialized software provided during training to look for Asteroids. Students were trained on the Astrometrical Software which provided the ability to easily compare images for the purpose of moving object discovery and also given hands on practice to hunt for Asteroids. Kudos to the Sanites!

Assembly : Child Labour Day - 12.06.2018

This year, the World Day Against Child Labour and the World Day for Safety and Health at Work shine a spotlight on the global need to improve the safety and health of young workers and end child labour. San Academy Kamakoti nagar observed “World Day Against Child Labour” on June 12, 2018 for the purpose of raising awareness among children to prevent child labour. Students of class V enacted a mime to depict the ill effects of child labour in factories, hotels, tea shops and at households.Students gave a speech that Child labour refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful.

Assembly : World Ocean’s Day - 08.06.2018

Preventing “Plastic Pollution” and encouraging solutions for a healthy ocean. San Academy Kamakoti nagar celebrated “World Oceans Day” to remind everyone of the major role the oceans have in everyday life. They are the lungs of our planet, providing most of the oxygen we breathe. Students of class VA enacted a meaningful skit to inform about the impact of human actions on the ocean. Students spoke that oceans are a major source of food and medicines and a critical part of the biosphere. In the end, it is a day to celebrate together the beauty, the wealth and the promise of the ocean.

World Environment Day raises awareness of the need to protect, preserve and enhance the environment we all share and live within. Declared by the UN General Assembly in 1972, each year World Environment Day aims to strengthen public awareness. Every year there is a different theme and for 2018 “Beat Plastic Pollution” was the theme. The world is coming together to combat single-use plastic pollution.There is no better place than the classroom and schools to start teaching children and about the environment and how it affects daily lives. Students of class III A enacted a mind blowing skit on how the Earth is getting polluted and the remedial measures to be taken to save her. Children compared the Earth of the 19th century and the 21st century and brought in the importance of the 3 R’s - Reuse, Recycle and Reduce.

Assembly: Father’s day - 18.06.2018

Students of class IV A made the day special for their Real Life Super Heros - their father on 18.06.2018 during the special assembly. Father’s day celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that father figures make to the life of their children. Students of Class IV A delivered the father’s day speech hilighting the importance of fatherhood and how fathers guide their children to face the ups and downs in life. A special song was penned down by the students to make the day very special for their “DADS”

Assembly: International Yoga Day - 21.06.2018

Healthy mind in a healthy body - Yoga is the golden key that unlocks the door to peace and joy. Students of class IV-B conducted the special assembly to commemorate the International Yoga Day to bring in awareness about the benefits of Yoga. Volunteers from Isha Yoga foundation were invited to orient children on basic breathing exercises and simple yoga practises which will help them to stay energetic during the day.KG Head Ms.Geetha Raguraman demonstrated simple basic exercises which children can practise at home everyday.

Chokhi Dhani village brings to life, a colorful Rajasthani heritage that leaves you awestruck with all the attractions and elements of ethnic culture and tradition. Starting from the welcome tilak that reminds of “PADHARO MAHRE DES” hospitality of Rajasthan, the mandir, village bazaar, folk dances, animal rides for children, bioscope, village style photo studio, jyotish, mehendi, games zone, open lawns to relax and bond with each other…, you’ll relish every moment of this wonderful village theme concept.Students of Class V to VIII of San academy, Kamakoti nagar, visited Choki dhani on 24.06.2018. It was a memorable day for students and a unique learning experience as well.
