How to get to LT?

Directions by road: you will arrive at the main entrance (indicated with the blue arrow) with the option to leave your car in the pay and display area indicated with the purple square. After 5pmn on weekdays a parking permit/pay-and-display ticket is not required.

If approaching from London (A3) or the M25 (Junction 10), remain on A3 until you reach the exit signed to Cathedral and university. Do not take the exit signed to Guildford.

If approaching from the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout, take the exit signed to Portsmouth, and then turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to Cathedral and the University).

If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the gyratory system at the exit marked Farnham (A31). After approximately 200 yards, at the mini-roundabout, take first turning into Guildford Park Road and continue along Madrid Road to The Chase for a mile. At the roundabout take the third exit, into the University entrance.

Directions by train: you will enter the main campus from southeast, as indicated with the orange arrow. Guildford is on the main line between London Waterloo and Portsmouth. Half-hourly train services run between Guildford and Waterloo, with journey times of 40 minutes (Fastest trains). From the railway station, you could reach campus by

Walking: Leave station by footbridge and rear exit. Turn right from the station along Guildford Park Road and take the second turning on the right. Follow the path through the park-and-ride car park to the campus.

Bus: ARRIVA buses (leave station by footbridge and rear exit, cross main road to bus stop) operate a regular service to the campus. Services 17, 27 and 37 run approximately every ten minutes during the day. The earliest service is at approximately 6am and the last bus is just before midnight.

Food Science students returning to their final year at Surrey University will give an insight into the experience and knowledge that they gained during their industrial placement year. They will also give presentations about their current research projects on Food Innovation & Investigation. The presentations will be followed by a buffet at which all the students will have the opportunity to talk to Surrey academics, IFST members and professionals working in food industry and food agencies.
