Our Process

At DD we approach our projects a little differently. Instead of putting our clients through a standard, sometimes “proprietary”, process, we focus on the client and their own parameters. Knowing that each project is unique from the last, we feel it would only make sense to adapt our process to our client and each project at hand in order to achieve the maximum results our clients are looking for.

By understanding our client’s vision, their audiences’ needs, and the objectives for every project, our team breaks down each factor to reveal the challenges, goals, and necessary steps to get there.

Whether the parameters as finite as a set budget or as unknown like new client sales, this parameter-driven style of designing lets us effectively adapt to a wide scope of projects. Ultimately, this results in a creatively designed project that actually works!

DiversiTech

Every design firm wants to feel like they are a partner with their client and occasionally you achieve that. Our relationship with DiversiTech has been just that. Working alongside the DiversiTech marketing team on over 25 projects. in partnership with DiversiTech, an international HVAC product manufacturer, to develop and grow their brand position within their industry.

DD has designed and crafted a range of diverse projects for DiversiTech including tradeshow exhibits, product packaging, and even retail permanent, promotional, and specialized displays. Working alongside the DiversiTech marketing team on over 25 projects, from the start of this vision, and as a result together we have developed relationships and stand-out brand zone that lasts.

Through our full roll-out program of graphics, displays, packaging, and shipping, DiversiTech was able to expand a bold presence cost effectively.

Nike

For Nike, Dimensional Design produced an incredible mix of interactive and product displays for Niketowns in Miami, Denver, New York, and Chicago. Nike wanted to break the mold of the customer experience by creating engaging displays that blended cutting edge video feedback with “Old School” elements. DD created a basketball trackball as well as an oversized A-Rod helmet that lowers on to your head allowing you hear the same sounds of the game. Every display was created to both engage and educate .

Footwear products where also integrated into these displays to drive home that their gear was the most high-tech on the market. After completely outfitting the Miami and Denver stores (Niketown’s two largest), many of our displays where reproduced for the original stores in NY and Chicago.


Retail Displays Case Study

International Eyewear, Charlotte

International Eyewear came to DD with a “blow me away” vision for their new retail store in Charlotte, NC. Located in a high-end, fashion focused mall to match their product’s quality and service, DD designed and built this floor-to-ceiling project with strong “attention-to-detail” features and a boutique layout to give their store an environment of modern elegance.

By combining vibrant accent colors with glossy white and elegant wood tones against custom mirrors we were able to achieve a boutique atmosphere. This attention to detail went so far as to creating and redesigning how the glasses are displayed by suspending them into mid-air utilizing an innovative combination of aircraft cables and frosted acrylic nose grips. Through the use of these unique fixture displays and visual stimulating details, the store generates an unforgettable impression.


Retail Displays Case Study

Mitsubishi Electric

Mitsubishi Electric came to DD with the challenge of developing a high impact but technically informative display for their new ductless HVAC unit known as Mr. Slim. These units were to be placed in Home Depots around the US, starting with their prototype stores in New York City.

The test was to create a durable display that fits into big box retailers all over America, but still maintained the product’s luxury and mechanical quality. The display had to act as the product pitch-man within a busy Home Depot, by drawing customers in with vibrant graphics and a professional display. An engaging video educates the consumer on how this system could solve their HVAC problems.

The overall design met other strict parameters such as interchangeable graphics, forklift ready, info request drop box and built-in lighting. Rollout included designing the display to arrive fully assembled and plug-and-go ready to cause no inconvenience to the retailer. Upon the opening of the prototype store, this product’s success resulted in immediate display reorders.
