Encryption Facility

ENCRYPTION FACILITYOur unique Encryption facility is designed to protect your valuable productions from unauthorised use, editing or copying. Also, if you are involved in the Background Music industry, it is now a regulatory requirement that all commercial music MUST be ENCRYPTED.

Encryption is a NO CHARGE option on all Natcomm Digital Audio devices, with the exception of our very low cost DMC and DMD devices, where the additional circuitry has a cost of $20 per unit (excl GST).

Using Encryption is quick and easy. All you need to do is encrypt your MP3 files using our supplied Encryption program, which takes just a few seconds. You can Encrypt a single file, or a complete folder of files with a single action. Once your file is encrypted, it cannot be opened, altered or used in any device other than a Natcomm unit which is configured for Encryption.

Similarly, our Encryption devices cannot play standard MP3 files or any file other than those encrypted with our program.

The same Encryption program is used for ALL of our products ensuring standardisation of the process.

EMAIL FILE TRANSFER PROGRAMAn Email Message Update Program has been developed for use with our Encryption facility. This program simplifies the process of transferring Message update files from your PC to your customers SD Card or USB Stick. It is ideal for those customers that are not PC experts.

When a user recieves an email with a message attached, they normally need to:1) Identify the PC drive letter of the SD Card programmer or USB Stick2) Delete the old message on the SD Card or USB Stick3) Manually transfer the new message to theSD Card or USB Stick

Our program performs all of these steps automatically, by simply double clicking the message attachment in the email. It also encrypts the file at the same time it saves it to the card.

This Email program is suitable for use with ALL Natcomm Digital Audio products which are fitted with the encryption facility (except BMS and BMP). The program is supplied at NO CHARGE.

Option : The Message Encryption Facility option is available on all products

TIME PROGRAMMABLE MESSAGE PLAY FACILITY

Our unique Time Programmable Message play facility is designed to automatically change the Message or Music that our device is set to play, at any future time or date. This option consists of a battery backed internal real time clock circuit, which can be supplied with ANY Natcomm Digital Audio device.

The large capacity of the media supplied with our devices allows for multiple files to be loaded onto a single SD card or USB Stick. Up to 100 individual Messages or Music Folders can then be programmed with specific time and date play information, using our supplied Dealer Control program. This facility can also be used to START play and STOP play at specified times or dates, or simply STOP play altogether at the expiry of a contract period.

DMC Digital Message on Hold playerOur Australian Made DMC Digital Message Centre has been Australia’s best selling On Hold player since 1999. Over the past 14 years, our DMC’s have established a reputation for extreme performance and reliability.

DMC’s use a standard SD card, loaded with one or more MP3 files to provide exceptional Audio Quality. They can play MP3 files of any sampling rate right up to 320kbps, which is broadcast quality Audio.

DMC’s are available with a number of options to ensure that they can meet a very wide range of requirements.

Internal Memory : For greatest reliability, DMC’s can be loaded with 8MB (optional up to 32MB) of ultra reliable Internal Flash Memory. Once an SD Card with 1 or more MP3 files is loaded into DMC, it will immediately copy the Message(s) to the Internal Memory and play the On Hold Message(s) from this source. The SD Card can be left inserted or removed.

Message Encryption : DMC’s can be supplied with our popular Natcomm Encryption technology. This technology will prevent unauthorised use of On Hold productions, as copied files cannot be played in a normal MP3 device.

Time Programmable Message Changes : DMC’s can also be supplied with our Intelligent Time Programming facility, which allows for up to 20 Messages to be loaded onto an SD card and each Message can be programmed to play during specific times, days, or play periods. This option is ideal for starting and stopping Christmas or other seasonal Messages on specific days.

DMC MODEL TABLE

All Model DMC’s are also available with Two other important options :

Message Change Switch : This inexpensive option can be fitted to any DMC. Each press of the recessed micro-switch will instruct DMC to stop looping on the current message and start looping on the next Message loaded into Internal Memory or loaded on the SD Card. This option is ideal for those users that want to manually change to and from a Christmas or other Seasonal Message.

Playback Check Speaker : This inexpensive facility will play the On Hold Message via an internally fitted micro speaker whenever an LIU (or Audio connection cable) is not connected to the Audio output port of DMC. It will allow a user to check that DMC is playing a Message by simply pulling out the LIU connection to the DMC. The Message will be switched from the Internal Speaker and re-connected to the LIU (or Audio connection cable) as soon as it is refitted to the DMC.

DMD Digital Message on Hold playerOur new DMD range of Message on Hold players use a standard USB Stick instead of an SD Card as the source of the MP3 Message On Hold files.

Like DMC, one or more MP3 files can be loaded onto a standard USB Stick, to provide exceptional Audio Quality. They can play MP3 files of any sampling rate right up to 320kbps, which is broadcast quality Audio.

DMD uses the same amplifier and other componentry of DMC, ensuring that it will provide the same level of performance and reliability. DMDs are also available with a number of options to ensure that they can meet a very wide range of requirements.

Internal Memory : For greatest reliability, DMD can be loaded with 8MB (optional up to 32MB) of ultra reliable Internal Flash Memory. Once a USB Stick with 1 or more MP3 files is loaded into DMD, it will immediately copy the Message(s) to the Internal Memory and play the On Hold Message(s) from this source. The USB Stick can be left inserted or removed.

Message Encryption : DMD’s can be supplied with our popular Natcomm Encryption technology. This technology prevents unauthorised use of On Hold productions, as copied files cannot be played in a normal MP3 device. Message Encryption software is provided and is very quick and easy to use. See page 4 for further information.

Time Programmable Message Changes : DMD’s can also be provided with our Intelligent Time Programming facility, which allows for up to 100 Messages to be loaded onto a USB Stick and each Message can be programmed to play during specific times, days, or play periods. This option is ideal for starting and stopping Christmas or other seasonal Messages on specific days. See page 5 for further information.

DMD MODEL TABLE

All Model DMD’s are also available with our Playback Check Speaker option :

This inexpensive facility will play the On Hold Message via an internally fitted micro speaker whenever an LIU (or Audio connection cable) is not connected to the Audio output port of DMD. It will allow a user to check that DMD is playing a Message by simply pulling out the LIU connection to the DMD. The Message will be switched from the Internal Speaker and re-connected to the LIU (or Audio connection cable) as soon as it is refitted to the DMD. Note : The internal micro speaker used has a low volume and is not designed to be used for full time Audio output. It is designed for troubleshooting to confirm if Audio is being provided by DMD.

DME Message On Holdwith Internet Message Update

DME Digital Message On Hold player with Internet Update FacilityOur new DME Digital Message on Hold player, is designed to connect to a customers Network, so that Message Updates can be recieved by the DME units in the field, using the Internet. Once connected, DME will connect to an external FTP server, at programmed intervals, to check for Message updates and download them when they are available.

DME is ideal for use at sites that require regular Message Updates, where delivery is completely Automatic and no user intervention is required. DME connects to the Internet via the customers Network. Where this is not possible, DME can connect direct to a dedicated broadband modem (ADSL or CABLE) installed separately at a site. Alternatively, we recommend use of our alternative DMG device, where the same capability is provided using Cell Phone technology.

• Completely Automatic Message updates via the Internet• Connects to a Customer Network or to a separate Broadband Modem• Uses an FTP ‘Dial Out’ principle to reduce Firewall issues• Uses DHCP technology to simplify Installation• Alternative Cellular Update method also available

The Internet connection allows Messages and other Instructions (such as message timetables) stored on an SD Card, to be updated automatically at programmed intervals.

DME uses a ‘Dial Out’ principle, where it connects to an external FTP server at a specified time each day. Once connected, it will compare all Message files and settings present on it’s SD card with those saved at the remote server. All new files and settings will be downloaded and old files and settings will be deleted.

DME is the most economical solution for providing regular Message Updates for your customers. The small additional cost over a standard Message on Hold player can be quickly recovered, particularly when the considerable time savings associated with greatly reduced Message handling are factored in.

An Easy to Use PC based ‘Dealer Control Program’ is provided to make this whole process quick and easy. The program remembers all messages and settings of all sites and allows for messages and settings to be quickly Added, Deleted or Changed, ready for DME units in the field to connect and then synchronise.

DME is available with our Encryption technology at no additional charge (Model DME/E). This technology prevents unauthorised use of your On Hold productions. Our Message Encryption utility is accessed from the same Dealer Control Program. See page 4 for further information.

DME units are fitted (as standard) with our Intelligent Time Programming facility, which allows for up to 100 Messages to be loaded onto an SD card and each Message can be programmed to play during specific times, days, or play periods. This facility is ideal for starting and stopping Christmas or other seasonal Messages on specific days. Time Programming using our Dealer Control Program is quick and easy. See page 5 for further information.

Message On Hold with After Hours Announcement

DMS Digital Message On Hold player with After Hours AnnouncementOur unique DMS Digital Message Centre has been designed to provide your customers with a combined After Hours Announcement and Message On Hold solution.

Traditional Answering Machines only allow for short after hours announcements and their audio quality is very ordinary. Some Phone Systems allow for after hours announcements, but they cannot match the high quality provided by an On Hold player and they can be complex to set up and change.

DMS allows you to provide this additional value added service for your customers. With DMS you can prepare your customers After Hours Announcement as well as their On Hold production and load both messages onto the same SD Card.

DMS incorporates our popular DMC Digital Message Centre facility, which provides the high quality Audio Output to which an LIU is connected.

DMS uses an SD Card to store its message, so messages can also be changed by simple SD Card replacement.

DMS also has a telephone line answering facility which when activated will answer all After Hours calls and then play the Announcement Message direct into the telephone line. At the end of the Message, DMS can either Hang Up or ring an attached Answering Machine if your customers want to recieve messages from their callers.

Installation

If an Answering Machine is already in use and it is close to the LIU (which is connected to the Phone System controller), then it is just a matter of moving the telephone ‘Line In’ connection from the Answering Machine to the ‘Line In’ port of DMS.

If there is no Answering Machine in place or it is remote from the LIU, then a technician can quickly and inexpensively set up an ‘answering machine’ connection next to it.

DMS has a ‘Touch Switch’ ON/OFF facility. To enable/disable After Hours Announcements, the user just touches the ‘touch switch’, the LED will turn ON and DMS will begin answering calls.

To disable After Hours Announcements, the user just touches the ‘touch switch’, the LED will turn OFF and DMS will stop answering calls.

Alternatively DMS can be connected to an existing night switch facility and in this situation the ‘Touch Switch’ can be left on at all times.

Message On Hold with Indial Message Update facility

DMX Digital Message On Hold player with Dial In ModemOur DMX Digital Message Centre has been designed to allow you to Dial In by Modem, at any time, and update its MP3 On Hold Messages. This capability is ideal for customers that require frequent or rapid Message Updates, which can be done completely automatically from a remote location.

Modem update technology has several benefits : 1) It does not require connection to the customer’s Internet Network 2) It does not have to deal with firewalls or other internet access issues 3) It is simple, extremely reliable and very cost effective

DMX incorporates our popular DMC Digital Message Centre facility, which provides the high quality Audio Output to which an LIU is connected. DMX also has an internal Modem, which connects to a telephone line or analogue telephone extension of a Phone System. This facility allows dial in update of one or more MP3 messages whenever needed.

DMX uses an SD Card to store its message, so messages can also be changed by simple SD Card replacement.

To allow for Dial In access, DMX can be connected to an existing telephone line in a number of manners :• To an analogue extension of a PABX type Phone System, which has a Direct In Dial facility• To an EFTPOS or ADSL telephone line if this line is not already used to receive incoming calls• To a Fax Line if FaxStream Duet service is enabled on this line. DMX can specifically answer calls to a Fax

Stream Duet number and ignore calls to the Fax. This telephone service costs $6 per month from your carrier

Model DMX2 with integrated Modem SwitchIf one of the above Line Sharing options is not suitable, then you can use our DMX2 model and connect to: • A Fax line without the need for the FaxStream Duet Service• An individual incoming analogue PSTN telephone line of a multiline telephone system

This model has an integrated Modem Switch facility which will answer all incoming calls, determine if the call is a Modem call (by briefly listening for a Modem calling tone) and connect the call to the DMX Modem. If the call is a Fax call or a Voice call, then DMX2 will forward the call to the Fax Machine or Phone system, after a short delay.

BMP has a Line Level output and is designed to be used with a separate Amplifier, using the supplied Stereo 3.5mm to RCA cable. If you only have a small number of speakers at your site and do not wish to use an amplifier, you should use our alternative BMS device, which has an inbuilt amplifier capable of driving up to 10 speakers direct.

As with all Natcomm Background Music players, BMP is designed to play Encrypted Music, as per regulatory requirements. To Encrypt your own MP3 Music a quick and easy to use Encryption program is provided. If required, BMP can be supplied without the Encryption facility, so that it can also play standard MP3 files.

BMP1 is our Standard Model.

BMP2 provides all capabilities of BMP1, together with an Automatic Time Programmable Start Play / Stop Play facility. With this facility, BMP2 can be programmed to Automatically Start Playing and Stop Playing at preset times for each day of the week. BMP2 can also set to only play between selected dates, including Stop playing at the end of a contract period.

A Switch Option can be fitted to the front face of both BMP Models. When the Switch is pressed briefly, it will automatically cause BMP to stop playing the current song and move immediately to another randomly selected song. When pressed for a min of 5 seconds, it will cause BMP to stop playing the current song and Remove it from the play list, which means that it will not play again.

Background Music and Messaging

BMS Background Music and Message System Our BMS Background Music and Message Systems have been specifically designed to provide high quality background audio in a compact and cost effective package.

BMS uses minimal power and is designed for ultra reliable 24/7 operation over many years. In the event of a power cut BMS will automatically restart when power resumes. BMS can play continuous Music only or a combination of Music and Messages. Messages can be played after a preset number of Music files (01 - 250 music files).

Music is played in true RANDOM fashion so that every song is played once before any song is repeated. If required, Messages can be played at higher volumes to that of the Music files in 12 separate 1.5dB volume increase steps. BMS can also play up to 250 High Rotation Songs at a programmable frequency.

To ensure compliance with new regulatory requirements, our BMS systems will only play MP3 files that have been Encrypted. An Encryption program is supplied which can Encrypt either a single file or a complete folder in one action, with each file taking just a few seconds. Encrypted files can then only be played in BMS devices, which prevents unauthorised use.

Our BMS systems provide BOTH a line level output (stereo) and an amplified 10W speaker output (mono). Our amplified output will allow it to drive up to TEN speakers direct, without the need for a separate amplifier. This will provide background level music for areas of up to 150-200 square meters. The Line Level output and a separate amplifier should be used for larger areas.

BMS stores its Music and Messages on removable SD-HC Cards. Up to 250 Messages and up to 2000 songs can be loaded on to the supplied Cards. Higher capacity SD-HC cards that can hold up to 4000 songs are optionally available. This system allows for a complete change of Music or Message content in seconds, by simple SD-HD Card exchange. You can even do this without switching off the power first.

BMS has a TIME PROGRAMMABLE Music and Message play facility which will allow individual Music Folders and Messages to be set to play within specified time periods each day, days of the week or even specific start and stop dates. This facility will also allow BMS to automatically START and STOP at specific times for each day of the week.

Model BMS/N has an integrated IP Network facility which will allow BMS to be connected to a Network (or dedicated router) so that message changes, setting changes and high rotation files can be updated automatically via the internet.

Model BMS/G can be fitted with our unique Cellular Update Accessory to provide for completely automatic Message changes, Settings changes and High Rotation file changes via the Cellular Network.
