This is a student’s Digipak design, I think it has a professional look because the colour scheme and structure is well thought. It matches well with the bleeding hand concept which may look easy to do but as a Media Student I know the difficulties that arise with the simplest tasks. My only criticism with the work is: it lacks extravagance that will make it stand out amongst over digipaks. It is original and a well thought- well executed piece but for a A2 it could have more depth. Although if the target audience is a sophisticated mature classical audience the simplicity works well.

Madonna front and back cover is vibrant and eye-catching. Her name is written in a disco print which immediately tells the potential consumer what type of music this album will have. It also shows her three times which makes the front cover seem more playful as it does not follow the typical album front cover structure where the artist face is present in a close up or body shot. The spotlight falls onto Madonna on the front cover and on the back cover there is three dancing silhouettes; this helps bring the audience and Madonna together. Fans are encouraged to buy this album because it appeals to fans who want to have a good time listening to music that will up lift their spirits and make them dance along with the music. This is primarily shown on the front and back cover of the album.

This album cover stands out because of the flamboyant glasses that sparkle and attract the audience to look at what would be an ordinary female portrait

The simplicity of the image sends a message to the audience that this album will be fun to listen to because the girl on the front cover looks ‘cool’ with the glasses on. She will take the listeners onto her cool experience if they buy the album

Rihanna’s Loud album is striking because of her red hair and lips contrasting well with her olive toned skin. The image looks like an art piece as no facial expressions is strongly portrayed and the subtlety of her mouth being slightly open invites the fans to buy her album

Her back cover picture tells more of a story then the front cover, this makes the fans more intrigued to explore the inside pictures of her digipak as it seems like there will be more of a story to unveil in between.
