“Change” – as per the Webster dictionary, it means to make (someone or something) different. That’s quite an easy definition compared to the drastic impact it has on our lives. We are often resistant to change, and we don’t realize that change itself is constant. Most people feel it will have an immediate negative impact on their life or career or profession. We are afraid of change because it forces us outside our comfort zone. But, we forget that we grow and learn new things every time something changes. We learn lessons even from changes that did not lead us to where we wanted to be. Changes trigger progress. Things move forward and develop because of them. Each change is a turning page. It is about closing one chapter and opening another one. Once again, Rotary installation meeting remind us that as Rotarians we have to embrace change. It also taught us, how change can be enjoyable, entertaining but more effective and efficient for future endeavor. The fellow Rotarians continue the best practice of predecessors and improve the sort coming activities. Fix the bench marked for future activities with new leadership and board of directors. It is the continuing support and patronage of our fellow Rotarians that makes such milestones possible. Through them, we see what our district do, we see what our fellow Rotarians are doing, and we are inspired to LIGHT UP ROTARY, even more.
