Community Groups and Charites benefit from Eve in the City
The snowballing success of the Adam Brooks Group Eve in the City–Lantern Dreams Festival continues with around $7,000 raised from the gold coin entry and gold coin donations for the Dream Lanterns which will be distributed to community groups.
The Mersey Community Men’s Shed, the Lions Club of Mersey and the Penguin Surf Lifesaving Club will each receive a share of the takings while Adam Brooks’ charity of choice, the Make-a-Wish foundation will receive the remainder.
Plans are already well advanced for the 2012 event and businesses have already put their hands up to be involved.
