It is for you that I wrote this book. For those with more questions than answers, those looking for a greater purpose to their life.

The overarching theme of this book is discovering your destination, no matter what path you take. As the word itself entails, DESTINy is all about DESTINation.

Do not worry about what you cannot control. Focus instead on what you can control and what you can control will increase.

When you become attuned to your purpose and destiny it will seem like things fall in place for you. But it will only be so because you took consistent action in advance.

When you are a proactive person, you focus on acting within your circle of influence and focus less on those things that are outside this circle. The amazing thing is that the more you act within this circle of influence, the more proactive you become and the larger this circle

grows. Your influence grows.

Destiny is always outward looking, not self-seeking.

As a destiny maker, you are full of potential, connected to a higher intelligence, living on purpose, always prepared and exploiting every opportunity in order to fulfill your purpose.

Education and professions have unintentionally become one of the biggest destiny killers. Education should broaden our horizons and our possibilities and not stifle them. It should make us realise that there is a lot more out there we need to learn and do.

I now ascribe to God-esteem rather than self-esteem. Self-esteem anchors on yourself, God-esteem anchors on God. Self-esteem is boastful, God-esteem is humble but strong. Self-esteem is limited, God-esteem is unlimited.

Self-esteem is inward looking; God-esteem is outward looking. Self-esteem is weak, God-esteem is strong.

Knowledge is the key to God-esteem. It is practical, not some kind of state you hypnotise yourself into like self-esteem.

Move beyond learning simply to get qualifications or for work. Learn in order to prepare yourself for your destiny.

Never stop growing and never stop pursuing knowledge. It will help you immensely when the time comes.

When you have purpose, you are pursuing that which you are most capable of doing.

That is why I take great pride in this work. It is a culmination of my learning in this area over the past 22 years or so. It is my gift to humanity in sharing what I have learnt in 40 years of living on this earth. It is my guide for the next chapter of my life. Now I truly feel the past four

decades have been preparation to unleash my own greatness. It is my summary of what I consider to be important in life as far as personal development and self-actualisation is concerned. It is my destiny.

In some cases, for those with a very positive self-image, self-esteem may even border on pride. That can also be just as destructive as low self-esteem. Pride places our egos above everything else. It makes us unreceptive to constructive criticism and ultimately gives us a false sense of self-worth and security.

My philosophy is always to do what I love to do and to be free of societal pressures to conform or behave a certain way. After all, most of society is dull and uninspiring anyway, so why follow them?

I would define opportunities further as "the times or circumstances that you are ready for and that enable you to fully exploit your potential and fulfill your purpose."

The key is to handle and manoeuvre through those circumstances that are beyond your control whilst creating those circumstances you desire.

The best approach is to always create those circumstances that you need and have control over, whilst always looking to exploit circumstances that randomly present themselves.

When you are focused on the ultimate objective the things you must do to get there are less frightful. Their necessity to getting you there will spur you on.

Spouses should, in my view, help one another to be the best that they can be.

God gave me a choice in choosing him and so I have no right to take away that choice from others.
