OUR MISSION: To create effective, compelling, and unique identity packages. We have developed processes focused on usability while maintaining a strong commitment to our clients' goals, schedule, and budget.

OUR TEAM: We have assembled a team of talented, creative professionals with diverse backgrounds of work and creative experiences. Our team has expertise ranging from print specialist, advertising, marketing knowledge and sales to web and graphic design. We combine this knowledge along with foresight and strategic planning to approach new challenges with your overall business goals in mind.

ADVANTAGES: Design Pros, Inc has a proven process that has been built and refined over 8 years. We take the time to get to know our customers and their marketing objectives from an unbiased outsider's perspective. We combine our knowledge, our customers' own perspectives and, quite often, their customers' perspectives to create an effective marketing strategy. This process helps us create a unique "branding blueprint" that gives all members of the creative team valuable insight and creates a foundation from which to design, develop and implement contracted media.

Another reason to choose Design Pros, Inc is the quality of our current and past work. We invite you to take a look and form your own opinion. We specialize in more than a few industries, as limiting ourselves to just a few could result in a lack of creativity and true insight as well as the possibility of our work competing with itself. The truth is that you don't want your marketing company to know your business too well. It would lose a true outsider's perspective if it did...and that perspective is exactly what's required to build a successful branding or re branding campaign.

Design Pros, Inc is a Concept-to-Completion company which uses in-house creative and technical talent as well as hand-picked vendors to offer full-service marketing and branding services to small, medium and large enterprises, as well as government agencies and non-profit organizations.

THANKYOU!

To all our Friends,

Well its been a good year so far and things are moving! Even though things are still not what we all want them to be withthe stocks taking us on a roller coaster ride the last few months and with interest rates going up again, thats just howthings go and we just have to roll with the punches. I found this saying that I like, which reads, “Manifesto for a simplelife; Eat Less, Move More, Buy Less, Make More, Stress Less, Laugh More, Feel Blessed, Love More, find a quiet spot everyday and BREATHE!”. Just think about each one and let it sink in.

On another note: We have crossed a big milestone with our other company, DigiPrint Products Corp, with the start of awonderful and hopefully soon to be partnership with our favorite paper provider, Kelly Paper! After a successful openhouse in one of the local stores we have increased our sales and are now in talks with their corporate office to possiblymove forward; stocking each of their stores with a variety of our products! This is great news and we can’t wait to possiblypartner up with them in the near future.

We hope you enjoy this new issue and hopefully get some great ideas from it. Remember we are always here to assistyou with making your ideas and goals a reality so please feel free to call anytime.

Thank you for your continued business now and in the future!

Sincerely,

Mike ShepherdPresidentSenior Designer

Forget endlessly crankingthe handle of an ice-cream

maker. After combining the ingredients, eachguest can simply shake up his or her own pouch ofsoft serve -- and it's done in just 5 minutes.

What you'll need• 2 tablespoons sugar• 1 cup half and half• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract• 1/2 cup salt (The bigger the granules, the better.

Kosher or rock salt works best, but table salt is fine.)• Ice cubes (enough to fill each gallon-size bag about half full)

• 1 pint-size Ziplock bag• 1 gallon-size Ziplock bag

How to make it1. Combine the sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in

the pint-size bag and seal it tightly.2. Place the salt and ice in the gallon-size bag, then place

the sealed smaller bag inside as well. Seal the larger bag. Now shake the bags until the mixture hardens (about 5 minutes). Feel the small bag to determine when it's done.

3. Take the smaller bag out of the larger one, add mix-ins, and eat the ice cream right out of the bag. Easy cleanup too! Serves 1.

Can you believe it? The calendar has alreadyturned to June. With Memorial Day behind us and July right around the cor-ner, we’re now officially in summer mode and for small businesses this oftenmeans leaner times (unless of course you are selling fishing or surfing equip-ment or renting boats, surfboards, and bikes). Instead of focusing on howyou can cut costs and save this summer, focus on what you yourself can doto rejuvenate your body and mind.

1. UnplugThe secret to happiness lies in turning off your mobile phone and concen-trating on your friends and family rather than text messages and emails. We all need to remember to unplug and relax, if only for one day. Whenwe're outside, we can also learn and enjoy a new skill or physical activity. And perhaps most important of all, we get a chance to turn off—or better, leave behind—our cell phones to clear our heads and break from the stresswe all have each and every day.

2. Get outside and enjoy natureDon't spend all your time inside. Get off the computer! It's summer and it'stime to get out there and enjoy the warm weather. Explore outside, hangout with friends, or lounge by the pool. Go out and enjoy nature. Whetherit's running at sunset on a sandy white beach, walking alongside a cooltrickling stream, watching sunset over a mountain ridge, or even hearingthe wind blow through the trees in the morning, being outdoors and awareof the world's beauty can make you feel energized and alive. If it’s 82 de-grees outside with a slight breeze, take advantage of the nice weather andfind opportunities to work remotely from outdoor cafes and restaurants. Ifthis is not possible, find a bench outside your office in a courtyard or on therooftop. Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of being outside.

3. Take Care of Tasks That You HaveBeen Putting OffIf you are like most people, your honey-do list far outweighs your availabletime. To conquer the list it is helpful to prioritize your home improvementprojects. Be realistic about your skills and determine which projects you canhandle on your own and hire a professional for the rest. If your list is divviedup into digestible chunks of time it’s more likely to be seen through to com-pletion. Do this and you’ll be amazed at the results.

4. Go for a TripPlanning summer trips doesn’t have to be a tedious and expensive process.Plan a family trip to visit relatives, stay at the beach or camp out in tentsunder the stars. Wherever you go, have a blast sunning and splashing, anddon’t forget your sunscreen.

5. Remember to Wear SunscreenLook for sunscreens with labels stating that they provide "broad-spectrumprotection," which means they contain ingredients that block both UVA andUVB rays. If you're going to be outside for more than a few hours, wear sun-glasses, a wide-brimmed hat and seek as much shade as possible -- partic-ularly from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest. Apply moresunscreen every two hours since the active ingredients start to degrade afterthat, especially after swimming and sweating. It takes at least 30 minutesfor sunscreen to be absorbed into your skin and begin working; by then youcan be on your way to a burn. Apply it at least 15 to 30 minutes before youleave home. Enjoy and have fun in the sun without getting burned.

July 4 - Independence Day (National holiday)Celebrating the Fourth of July is one of the best parts aboutsummer. You get to barbecue with your family, watch fire-works, go to a parade—take part in all the fun summer ac-tivities. But the spirit of Independence Day is not only aboutthe United States officially becoming a country. It’s aboutcelebrating the values that the country was founded upon. The Declaration of Independence was written with the the-ory that every person has inherent rights, called “self-evi-dent truths” in the official document. It reads: “We holdthese truths to be self-evident: That all men are createdequal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certainunalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, andthe pursuit of happiness.”

August 4 – Friendship DayFriendship Day celebrations take place on the first Sundayof August every year. The tradition of dedicating a day inhonor of friends began in US in 1935. Gradually the festivalgained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebratedin large number of countries including India. On this daypeople spend time with their friends and express love forthem. Exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cardsand wrist bands is a popular tradition of this occasion. Weshould all take the time to appreciate our friends!

September 2 – Labor Day(National holiday)Labor Day is celebrated the first Monday of each September.Because Labor Day creates a three-day weekend and is thelast major holiday before the onset of autumn, it's generallyseen as the last chance to enjoy the summer season. Theoriginal intent of Labor Day was to provide a holiday thatwould honor the social and economic achievements of Amer-

ican workers. Essentially, it was intended to be, and in manyways remains, an annual national tribute to the contributionsworkers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country. Three-day weekends don't come alongthat often, and we should be thankful that our predecessorsand ancestors were determined to make it happen.

September 5 - NFL Kickoff GameThe 2013 NFL season will begin on Thursday, September 5,2013, starting at 8:35 p.m. EDT on NBC. Congratulationsfootball fans, you’re time of the year has come again. Yoursupport, spirit, passion, dedication, loyalty, crazy enthusi-asm and energy is what sparks the magic on game day andthroughout the year. Yes, sometimes rooting for your teamcan be painful, but, when your team wins, it's magic. Welove your enthusiasm! Are you ready for some football?!

September 22 - First Day of AutumnGet prepared: It's time to kiss long days and warm weathergoodbye and welcome in crisp temperatures and crunchyleaves. The first day of fall, also known as the autumnalequinox, is Saturday, Sept. 22. The equinox gets its namefrom an astronomical curiosity. During both the spring andfall equinoxes, the sun transits directly over the Earth'sequator. Day and night is approximately equal length onequinoxes, which is how the days got their name — itmeans "equal night" in Latin. Autumn always makes youwant to walk in the crisp, fresh air, scoop up handfuls ofleaves, throwing them up in the air and jump right in a bigpile. I recommend everyone try it sometime.

October 16 - National Boss Day National Boss Day is an observance day to show apprecia-

tion to a boss, manager, or supervisor. Many times we donot realize the challenges of being the boss, which is whyPatricia Bays Haroski, in 1958, decided to register the holi-day and designate October 16 in honor of her father's birth-day. National Boss's Day was proclamated in 1962. NationalBoss's Day is when we celebrate the terrific bosses and su-pervisors in our lives. Hopefully you'll know the ones I'mtalking about. It's for bosses, managers or supervisors whoencourage and inspire us to achieve. The one that you can’thelp but work hard for and leaves an impression on youeven after you left the company. This is the perfect day totreat your boss to a special lunch, a gift basket, flowers, orjust give them a note of "thanks".

October 31- HalloweenSpooky ghosts and goblins, witches on broomsticks, pump-kins, candy and spider webs…it’s that time of year again.Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday of all time. It hasalways been uniquely fun for me. I love every ridiculousthing about it – from the candy to the spooky decorations, magical sound of the cackle at the end of Thriller, sendingchills down my spine, the feel of pumpkin guts in my hand, the glow of jagged toothed jack-o-lanterns in the blacknessand the smell of burning pumpkins and wax, the sweettaste of candy corn! Who doesn't have a favorite memoryof a trick-or-treating? Halloween is all about the fun thatcomes with the creativity and silliness. It’s probably everychild’s favorite holiday, combining the irresistible attractionsof dressing up in costume and gorging on candy. Find yourinner child and enjoy the parades, costume balls, hauntedhouses, scary movies, Halloween parties, wear a creativecostume and just be silly.

You just have to let go of the adult in youand get re-acquainted with the childwho still lives inside of you. I thought itwould be useful to list some ways tohave fun with your kids this summerwithout spending a lot of money:

1. Homemade Water ParkA trip to the Knott’s Soak City water park in Buena Park,California, costs $34.99 for adults and $28.99 for kids3 to11 years old and $15 to $20 for parking, but youcan pick up Wham-O Slip 'N Slide Triple Racer with 3Boogies for $16.24 at Walmart.com. If you have a gar-den hose and a little bit of yard space, you can easilyput together your own water park. You’ll need a plasticoutdoor kiddie pool, a waterfall sprinkler (kids or thegrown-up kind) and some black trash bags. Fill thepool, lay the trash bags over a soft surface, wet themdown to use as a homemade Slip ‘N Slide, and pop thesprinkler in the middle.

2. Costume-themed days at homeDressing up is one of the most magical past time experi-ences of childhood. It allows children to pretend and usetheir imagination. The fun parent dresses up with them.Create memories with themed days. For example, pirates, ninjas, princesses and aliens are always popular kidthemes. To keep the cost down, use what you alreadyhave around the house to make your costumes.

3. Summer reading contestsReading will help boost your kids’ interest in learningand imaginations. Reading provides positive escapismfrom the real world, which can help detract from thestress of daily life. Remember, kids have stress too, andthey need their own heroes, villains, and fantasticalcreatures to help them take their mind off the present.Young or old, there’s nothing like a good afternoon ofpeaceful page-turning to make you feel relaxed andat ease. If you’re having trouble getting your kids ex-cited about books, try a contest. Reward your kids witha surprise if they read 10 books this summer. Take yourkids to the library, let them pick out their favorites, anduse the contest to keep them motivated.

4. Let your kids be screenwritersMost grownups can remember the excitement of per-forming a play or skit for their parents and friends asa youngster- finding old dress clothes and householditems for props, choosing characters and creating a(usually comical) script. Nothing brings out a child’simagination more than writing and putting on a play! You will be surprised how quickly your child will takethe reins and run with their idea. All you really needto do is suggest, “Let’s have a play!” and the ideas willcome pouring out. Have them write their own screen-play, design the set and the costumes, and then actout their own movies. You can record them for thecutest home video ever.

5. Designate a craft dayGather up anything you have around the house – glue, stickers, fabric scraps, paper towel rolls, egg cartonsand other things we find in our own backyards andjunk drawers. Put everything on the table and tell yourkids to make whatever they want. They’ll be busy allday letting their imaginations run wild.

6. Go on a nature walkMany parks have free walking trails, and your kids willlove seeing all the trees, plants, birds and occasionalcritters running by. Plus, the whole family will getsome exercise. Not sure where your local parks are?Check out the National Parks Map (www.national-parks.org/explore-parks/find-park) from the NationalPark Foundation.

7. $1 movie nightsIn my area, adult movie tickets cost $7.50 and child’stickets cost $6. Taking a family of four to the moviescosts $27. Do that once a week and you’ll drop $108 amonth on movie tickets. Save some money and takeyour kids to the Regal Summer Movie Express(http://www.regmovies.com/Movies/Summer-Movie-Express). Throughout the summer, Regal the-ater locations sell $1 kid’s tickets to select movies at10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Rather watch amovie at night? Pick one up from Redbox for $1.20.

8. Free workshops for kidsThe Home Depot offers a few workshops for kids onthe first Saturday of each month. Your child will createa craft based on a certain theme or movie, like “Despi-cable Me 2.” They also run contests and presentationsby companies like LEGO. Check out the Home DepotFree Kids Workshop site for more details, or call yourlocal Home Depot store.

9. Play board gamesPlaying board games is an easy and excellent way tospend unhurried, enjoyable time together. Just byvirtue of playing them, board games can teach impor-tant social skills, such as communicating verbally, shar-ing, waiting, taking turns, and enjoying interactionwith others. Board games can teach kids to focus, andlengthen their attention span by encouraging thecompletion of an exciting, enjoyable game.

10. Do a science experimentKids are natural scientists and love to experiment. Trysome easy experiments at home for kids to learn all

11. Have a picnic Realistically, a picnic can be held anywhere — in apark, up a tree, beside a swimming pool, on a bedor on the floor of the living room. Just have fun andenjoy the sun, birds tweeting in the fresh air, playing, running, and just spending time together. It is bestto hold a picnic the day you think of it. Put togetherfood and drinks you know you will enjoy and willkeep cool. Bring a tablecloth for the picnic table or ablanket for you to sit. Let your kids play in the play-

ground or play ball or Frisbee with them until every-one is ready to eat. Spread out the food and have agreat time eating your picnic.

12. Scavenger or Treasure HuntsEvery child loves a treasure hunt. A scavenger hunt canturn a regular trip to the playground or park into a mis-sion to find hidden treasures! One thing to keep in mindabout scavenger or treasure hunts is that, withoutproper instruction in advance, kids may make a mess.So just be sure to set the ground rules in advance.Choose items for the scavenger list that the kids willmost likely be able to find. Children can play alone, raceagainst others, or work as a team. You may even wantto award a prize to your child, or each team, once theyhave successfully collected each item on their list.
