Project Definition

• The goal of this project is to research carotid rheology and design, simulate, and model a steerable catheter that would allow surgeons to obtain easier access through the carotid artery.

Objectives

• Conduct a literature review pertaining to blood flow parameters

• Derive and manipulate mathematical equations that model carotid blood flow

• Design various types of catheter tips

• Simulate all designs

• Model the most optimal design
