Elizabeth KruegerBefore launching ekd in 2012, Elizabeth Krueger spent the past decade in the Chicago design

industry honing her talent for interpreting clients’ visions to create unique, livable spaces.

Beginning her career as a member of the Holly Hunt Chicago team, Elizabeth worked hand

in hand with leading Chicago designers, meticulously pairing the perfect textile or furniture

piece to each project. She left Holly Hunt to work with Hall of Fame Interior Designer, Tracy

Hickman. Elizabeth’s time with Hickman Design Associates played a huge role in expanding

and forming her knowledge of design implementation and client relations.

Since the formation of ekd in 2012, Elizabeth has worked with several high–end builders

and clients nationwide.

gemma parker–McKeon As the Director of Interiors for Lichten Craig, Gemma Parker–McKeon is involved in all

aspects of the design process and responsible for project design and management.

Gemma’s understanding of textiles, style and scale coupled with her rigorous and

impeccable project management create beautifully designed and orchestrated projects.

An honors graduate from Michigan State, Gemma did her graduate design studies at the

Inchbald School of Design in London, where she was honored with the Inchbald Design Award.

She recieved an interior design degree with high honors from Harrington College of Design,

where she was recently recognized with a Distinguished Alumni Award. Since joining

Lichten Craig, Gemma has designed and managed many high–end projects throughout the

united States, including new York, Illinois, Michigan and Wyoming. Her recent work includes

Rita lashmetRita Lashmet has transformed the interiors of many homes and offices in the Chicagoland

area since she founded her company, RL Designs, in 2000. Rita works closely with her clients

in order to create designs that are specifically tailored to their preferences. Rita’s distinct

design insight and passionate involvement in her projects continually provide her clients

with unsurpassed satisfaction. She has taken many dull, unused rooms and transformed

them into beautiful rooms for her clients to enjoy. Her clients report that Rita’s designs are

elegant, inviting, intriguing and comfortable.

Rita began her design career working in the fashion industry in 1985. She developed a solid

foundation in design while working as a fashion director for a popular St. Louis retailer.

There she developed color palettes, fabric prints and entire private label lines in both clothing

and home goods. She traveled the world for inspiration and worked alongside top design

executives to develop product lines. After many years working in the fashion industry, Rita

decided to apply her worldly knowledge residential and corporate design.
