Ginger reported on church family serving others and being the church.

Old Business Reports: 1. Security - monitoring premises - Security bids not received yet. Look into apps for phone attached to camera system? 2. Door issues/update - Door company came to fix things, but they are not fixable anymore. Quotes coming for new doors. 3 Roofing / Eaves/ Windows - First coat of roof finished. Second coat needed. 4. Lighting update -- Duane Patten Lighting has been mostly replaced. Almost finished. Savings in electricity. 5. Digital Sign & Chair row purchase Digital sign is up and running. The chairs have been ordered. May 8th. Approx. $100 per chair.

New Business: 1. School Conundrum - Church decision.

1. Debt - should the debt boundary be extended. 2. Institutional thinking vs. Relational thinking 3. Ministry to all DV Youth

What are we doing for our kids? The ones that aren’t at school? What are the financial boundaries for the school? Suggested $20,000 to the school. What do we do next? Church board should establish the parameters for the school board to operate.

Debt ceiling has been crossed. What happens next?

2016 - 04 Voted that the debt be maintained $35,000

2016 - 05 Voted that $35,000 be allotted for the school and that $25,000 be allotted toward ministries for the children and youth of the church.

2. Translation Equipment - Kirundi participation $2500 - 25 people

2016 - 06 Voted that we purchase translation equipment for the Kirundi Group.

So if any of our units spring a leak after about 5 years, we will have to replace the unit. We can still repair, but I don't think that is a good idea The finance committee has agreed to the proposal from TSR to replace the A/C unit for $ 13,982. This will come out of Capital Funds. This now needs to go the board for approval.

3. Voted to put in a 30a electrical outlet for a mobile home for Ivan Weiss, Substitute during Denyce’s maternity leave.

4. Voted to accept the financial report as presented.

5. Voted by private ballot to close the school for the 2016-2017 school year. 4 - to close; 2 - to not close the school.
