Science Month In September, the Science Month was celebrated with a theme - Global Climate Change: Understanding and planning for solutions and adaptations . The event included coloring competition for kindergarten 1 & 2 , as well as drawing and coloring contest for grades 1 – 3. The grades 4 – 10 students participated in a tree-planting activity to signify the importance of caring for the environment. In addition, they also had collage-making, and poster-making contests. Students gifted in singing and dancing rendered performances on their interpretation of the theme. Social Studies Month October was Social Studies Month. This event was celebrated with a theme - Cultural Awareness: Essential for achieving world peace and unity. Various activities were conducted to encourage students to show the importance of knowing and appreciating other's culture. A questionnaire was answered by the students during the I/CL period to show their knowledge about the UAE. Posters showing the landmarks of the UAE and the relevant and inspiring remarks made by the leaders of the country were displayed along the corridors of the classrooms. Thanksgiving Month

Teaching students to count and appreciate their blessings is given importance in the school. The celebration of Thanksgiving Month stressed this through the theme - Count your blessings and give thanks! Held on 17 & 18 December, the events were carried out in collaboration with the Parents-Teachers Council (PTC) and the Students Council (SC). Students from different levels expressed their gratitude to God and to the people who have been very supportive of them: their parents, teachers, and friends. This two-day event was made more meaningful by heart-warming presentations from the kindergarten, elementary, and high school levels. There were also parlor games facilitated by the officers of the PTC and SC.

The 12th Season of FISAA (Filipino Inter-School Athletic Association) opened on 30 January and closed on 07 February 2015. This annual sporting event has become a venue for students to discover, hone, and showcase their skills in ball games such as basketball and volleyball. Other indoor and outdoor games also form part of this much-awaited activity for the Filipino schools in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. The school's athletes gave their best and were able to once again bring the overall championship trophy.

Foundation Day

The 19th Foundation Day and Intramurals of the school was celebrated on 17-19 February. This year's theme was "NFPS…..soaring at nineteen!" The event was highlighted by a parade of the NFPS Band, the CAT cadets and cadettes, and the scouts and guides. Field demonstrations and drills were also done during the opening ceremonies. The kindergarten and primary pupils actively took part in the parlor games. On the second and third days, there were indoor and outdoor games participated in by grades 4-10 students.

Family Day

To strengthen the bond among the members of the NFPS community, the Parents-Teachers Council (PTC) spearheaded the NFPS Family Day 2015. This event was held on 27 February at Sharjah National Park. Four teams were established – blue, orange, yellow, and white. The event was well-attended and appreciated as it truly brought the NFPS family together.

43 rd UAE National Day

In honor of its host country, the school joined the UAE in the celebration of its 43rd year as a nation. Students from kindergarten 1 to grade 10 participated in the event. The occasion started with a parade around the campus and culminated with a program which included trivia on the UAE and a presentation of a local dance by selected high school students.

Periwinkle Coloring Competition and Pen Nosy Annual Creative Writing Competition

For the first time, the NFPS sent representatives to the Pen Nosy Annual Creative Writing Competition and the Periwinkle Coloring Competition held on 22 & 23 April 2015, respectively, at Sharjah Expo Centre. Selected students from grades 1 to 9 participated in the said events. In recognition for their active involvement, all participants were given certificates of participation and the winners received certificates of recognition, as well as, special prizes.

Scouts Camp 2015

The development of the students' character is a priority for the school. Hence, the scouting movement is given importance. It is believed that through this effort, students develop the qualities of a responsible citizen. The annual Scouts Camp was held on 20 February 2015 at Camp Zayed in Abu Dhabi. Despite the unfavorable weather condition, the participants eagerly took part in activities such as senses training, first aid, knot tying, signaling, and many others.

Sharjah Book Fair

"Today a reader, tomorrow a leader." - Margaret Fuller

The grades 4 – 10 students visited the Sharjah Book Fair on 9 -12 November 2015 at Sharjah Expo Centre. Various publishers were present and gave the students the opportunity to buy their favorite books at a better price. Aside from books, the students also had the chance to experience the interactive exhibits and educational workshops.

Student Council

The school plays a very important role in preparing its students to become responsible members of the society. The Student Council is one venue for aspiring students to acquire and develop skills necessary for good leadership. During the election, students were given the opportunity to vote for their leaders based on their platform and qualities. The canvassing of votes led by the members of the faculty was witnessed by the students.

Visit to Al Noor Mosque

The grade 9 classes had the chance to visit Al Noor Mosque in Sharjah Corniche on 31 May & 2 June 2015. Students were acquainted with some teachings of Islam and the practices of the Muslims. The visit was made more exciting and interesting by the quiz given after the lecture which tested students' understanding and keen observation of the interior of the mosque.

Visit to Sharjah Desert Park

The grades 5 & 6 students had the chance to experience the feeding of farm animals during their visit to Sharjah Desert Park. Aside from this, they also toured the Arabian Wildlife where they saw some of the animals that are common in the UAE. The Sharjah Natural Museum gave them a glimpse of the geographical history of the UAE.
