Quimtia is a multinational corporation part of the “IF Group”. Quimtia was created from the union of 6 companies, one of
them being SENSORIA in Peru. The company provides chemical solutions for different
industries like Pharmaceutical Supply, Animal Health & Nutrition, Food, and Industry in general. It has offices in Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The Company
I was part of the Food & Pharma Unit just for 6 months before the situation.
After two months working at this company, my boss quit and nobody covered her field.

2 Responsibilities at that moment
An important factor, I had the decision-making
As I did not have a boss, I had to assume all the responsibilities of the marketing area for a long period of time. I had many challenges as Marketing Analyst, my responsibilities increased and I had to make all the marketing decisions. For Example I had to create and approve the Peru Marketing budget.

The largest international trade show in Latin America
Expoalimentaria is the largest international trade show in Latin America where worldwide exporters and select buyers gather to negotiate and create relationships. It highlights different industries like: food & beverages, machinery, equipment, inputs, containers and packaging, services, restaurants and gastronomy.

I had to cover 2 positions at the same time: Head of Marketing & Marketing Assistant for nine months.
I reported to the CEO of the company at that moment. She was my “boss” for that period.
I had sole responsibility for the planning and execution of the most important event of the Food Industry in the country. (Expoalimentaria 2011)
I was responsible to create the concept of the stand and gather the materials for the event.
I had the responsibility to present the participating products of our company for the innovation contest at the trade show.

My Company won the best stand of all the trade show and I received the recognition of the Peruvian Exporters association, ADEX.
One of the products that I presented for the innovation contest was one of the Top 12 finalist products. The product name was “Sazomax Pollo a la Brasa”, a blend to give chicken a Peruvian roasted flavor.
My company had contact with more than 40 international companies and won a lot of business credibility in the industry.
