7th Annual Digital Camera Shootout Photo Contest!“Bounty of the County”

DATE: Friday, August 23, 2019 from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PMWHO: The Digital Camera Shootout Contest is available to ages 15 and older. Contest Pre-Registration is required by Thursday, August 22 (contest pre-entry forms are available in the Fair Office).THEME: All participants will receive the same 2 themes.WHERE: Fair Office (located on the backside of the Main Exhibit Building - MEB) - check in at 9:30 AM on Friday, August 23rd to get started. You will have until 12:30 PM.RULES: Contestants must pre-register by Thursday, August 22nd by picking up a contest entry form from the Fair Office. Check-In by 9:30 AM on Friday, Aug. 23, and make sure you have your digital camera with you. Upon Check-In, contestants will receive instructions and their two (2) predetermined themes for the contest. Exhibitors will be given 3 HOURS from their check-in time to capture their theme on camera. After three hours, participants must return to the Fair Office to download a total of four (4) images of their choice - two (2) for each theme - from their camera to the Fair Office Computer.

**You can enter four (4) photos this year. Two (2) photos are allowed for each of the two themes.**

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Contestants must have their own Digital Cameras, and MUST have a camera cord with a USB connection to plug into a computer to load photos. NOTE: Your camera memory card will not work to transfer, please bring a USB connecting cord for your digital camera to the Fair Office Computer!

OTHER RULES: Digital alterations and cropping WILL be allowed in 2019. No tripods will be allowed. Tripods can be a trip hazard, so they are not permitted for this contest. All photos will become the property of the Bonner County Fair.

JUDGING & VOTING: Contestants must bring their photos (either on their camera with their USB cord, or on a USB Flash Drive) and return to the Fair Office within three (3) hours of their start time for judging. Photos will be uploaded to the Fair’s Facebook page for voting. The public will have the opportunity to vote on Facebook for a three hour window on Saturday, Aug. 24th from 10am - 1pm, by hitting “LIKE” on the photo that is their favorite. Only one vote will be allowed per person for each theme.
